We should really make a name for people who are bitter about life because of SWG and as a result troll any post with the word sony in it :rolleyes:
 
I'm an SWG veteran, I don't feel the need to tell everyone how Sony are the gestapo reborn in threads that have nothing to do with it :p

nice :) that at maximum details, graphics? Is the game running ok? hopefully i should get something in the post tomorrow.
 
Anyone else having problems logging into their station account today? Just got the game, went to subscribe to it, it consumed my CD Key and now won't let me subscribe! :(
 
I'm confused now. Got to log into my station account, but it doesn't show the button to subscribe to, like it does with PlanetSide and Everquest 2. Its already accepted my CD Key, do I have to wait until tomorrow to subscribe and patch?
 
I think it doesn't officially launch until the 30th. Unless you pre-ordered via the sony station or direct2drive you have to wait until the official launch date.

Thought so. Any idea of what time the servers will be coming up at exactly? :p
 
I had the same thing Tical, it consumed my key then said I don't have a vanguard subscription. Not long to wait now at least :)

Given that advanced concepts like time zones seem to be beyond the grasp of your average Sony minion, I'd say we'll see the servers open about 6pm tomorrow :D

Ahh cool, glad its not just me! Thought it'd used my CD key but not unlocked the game in my account.
 
Can't really do a in depth search due to been at work now, but what Vanguard all about, I've seen that it's an SOE game and wondered what it's about, is like EQ II?
 
A lot of people are calling it what EQ2 should have been - it's made by a lot of the people that worked on EQ1. Looks similar, bit less cutesy, a lot more open and a whole lot more depth.

Well worth a look if you liked EQ2 but found it a bit restrictive.
 
Last week I just re-started Everquest 2 after a 1.5 years absence. I would have rather started something completely new, but I totally forgot about the Vanguard release. I know it is early days but how does it compare to Eq2 regarding game play and creating a believable living breathing world. Graphically I always thought EQ2 looked good engine wise but the environments, design and artwork could have been better. The game world is very important to me regarding MMO's considering you spend so much time running around it. I like to be surprised when I come around a corner or over a hill for the first time.

Also how will my setup run this game - what resolution and in game settings, in other words will it look good?

Yea its running fine, those pics are on high quality, 1 below maximum quality :)
