It did 475 with the E6750; I've got a spare GA-P35C-DS3P but haven't used it as the E8400 requires F10 BIOS which a lot of peeps found fubbered their boards.

Been trying all morning to get it to boot at 500x9, but no luck
It will boot at 498x9 and run SuperPI 1M at 495x9
I hope they do a lot more than 4Ghz 24/7 or ill be skipping this gen, i think some will do around 4.5Ghz though.

Main reason I went for the 8500, higher multi means my Mobo can relax a bit. Should get at least 450 out of it.
Nothing wrong with the P5B, it's still pulling it's weight 1+ year down the line.
Any chance of some before after comparisons of gaming with these chips after you finished tweaking them of course.
Just want a black and white picture of whether having a 4-4.5ghz cpu actually has a big impact.

Easy AFAIK the cooler that comes with the 8500 is the same as the one that comes with the QX9650 .
I may be wrong though.
