Interesting question, SD is the prevailing consumer memory format. It could never be compact-flash as that's purely for high end SLRs now, lots of digital video cameras and lower end SLRs use SD now as well. Personally I'd have preferred they left the express card but I won't use either and I suspect the majority of people will find SD the most useful of the options available...

It just adds to the people who are saying they are going consumer, not pro.

Its meant to be a professional machine, not something day to day people buy to show off.

The reason I bought one is to use with my Digital SLR in the field.

Glossy + SD = me not buy.

Silly apple imo.
