I like my things to be small to fit more items on, not large and clear.

Would this still be like working on a 1440 x 900 screen?

I work with 1080p video and 16-80mp image files... yeah I would get to use it.

I'll also be doing some 4k video over the summer if everything goes to plan.

Yes.

With a much much higher pixel density. So everything is smoother.
