Join developers worldwide from June 6 to 10 for an inspiring week of technology and community. Get a first look at Apple’s latest platforms and technologies in sessions, explore the newest tools and tips, and connect with Apple experts in labs and digital lounges. All online and at no cost.

In addition to the online conference, Apple will host a special day for developers and students at Apple Park on June 6 to watch the keynote and State of the Union videos together, along with the online community. Space is limited and details on how to apply to attend will be provided soon.

Wherever you watch from, get ready for a fantastic WWDC.

Most people here would be far more excited about the hardware than software anyway. However they sometimes go without any hardware announcements.

What are you hoping to see at WWDC 2022 starting on the 6th of June? For me, I'm only interested to hear what will happen with macOS, iOS, iPadOS, and tvOS as well as the new AirPod Pro 2.

These people who ‘predict’ things throw everything they can up in the air as rumours in the hope that they’ll be right. Most of it is click bait speculation, nothing more. It’s only been eighteen months since the original M1 MBA and the move away from Intel isn’t complete yet.

I expect to see an M2 this year but not until Q4.

WWDC is primarily a software event. You can be sure that there will be announcements about iOS, iPadOS, macOS, tvOS and watchOS. Anything else is a unexpected bonus.

Fair point. I'm looking forward to iPadOS 16 primarily as I'm hoping it'll make my workflow a bit easier. It is so close to perfect it is painful. A few tweaks made by Apple and I'll be really happy.

Sounds like MacBook Air might be announced.

Gurman is usually Apple's mouthpiece but this one isn't a strong one and he's just saying it's possible. With M2 rumoured to be TSMC 3nm, there's very little chance that it can be released now.

I'm waiting to see if a new MacBook Air comes out as I need a laptop for certain times when I don't have access to a computer. Hopefully, it'll come out so that I can get an order in quickly. I'll stick with the cheapest MacBook Air that they offer as it'll mainly just be for web browsing, listening to music, streaming video and editing office documents with LibreOffice. £1,000 would be the ideal price.

Are you holding out for the new design then? I bought the base MBA and the performance is fantastic for the price. Unless you want the coloured enclosures the new MBA is rumoured to have, I don't think the speed gains will be much between M1 and M2.
