*** The Official Xbox One Thread ***

Just had my £25 gift credit from Amazon, for the price difference when it went from £224 to £199 for a few days.

Does anyone find the xbox one pad button to turn on the console can sometimes take different lengths of time to turn on the xbox console, sometimes i can hold the xbox button for 1-2 secs and it will light up and switch the console on, other times i have to hold the button until it lights up for 5 secs.

Strange.

I've not noticed that. Batteries OK?

I think the S has a cheaper feel about it overall, hopefully it stops at the aesthetics though.

Still no contact from Tesco regarding the cancelled Xbox One S they sent me. Ah...

Keep it and run.

I bought one and have not picked up thinking of returning, I'm not sure I'd play it enough think it'd honestly be sat there collecting dust.

Only 2 games that interest me right now.
Wasnt even planning to get any consoles but the price tempted me.

Now If I cancelled and still got one delivered I'd probably have a change of mind lol

Just bought the S, currently downloading all 92GB of Halo 5 at 1.3Mb/s. About 6 days to go by my reckoning. :(

Speed test on the PC is around 57Mbps.

Wow... I swear that's the largest Game Download I've ever seen/heard of. Not even GTA5 is that large lol.

I remember reading up about the file size, that most of the extra data is actual sound files in alternate languages. Which of course aren't really used, since most folks play only with one language.

Make sure you have a wired connection to your console. My younger brother's XB360 was slow and had connection issues when it was with Wi-Fi downstairs, but nowadays it's perfect, since it's in the same room as the router and has a wired connection. Never noticed speeds though.

Anyone know if online works on these backwards compatable titles?

Edit: Nevermind found this online. This is bloody brilliant.

Can I do multiplayer gaming with friends who are playing the game on Xbox 360 or Xbox One?

Yes. For games that offer multiplayer gaming, you'll be able to play with others who own the title on Xbox 360.

People having problems with wifi - remember its the time of year for wierd weather.

As much as you may laugh atmospheric conditions affect your wifi signals. Your always better off using Powerline adapters if you can't hard wire.

Regards to sound I have my Xbox S sat right on top on my PS4. Whilst the 'rattle' isn't as loud as whats in the vid posted earlier its definately louder than my PS4.

I can't hear the PS4 when I'm sat on the sofa at all, whereas the Xbox is definately audible (darn rattly fan) - to the point I have to turn the amp up a bit more than usual to drown its sound out.

Not much of a super blu-ray player if its gunna rattle like that! Not gunna risk returning it just to get a louder one lol, I usually wear headphones when gaming anyhow.

Interface is nice - but very laggy (I thought the interface was supposed to be slightly quicker on the S model?). Massive lag spikes when browsing through the interface and connected to voice chat at the same time - thought the PS4 was bad!

The Xbox One dash is very laggy. Not a fan of it.

Your xbox sitting on top of ps4, maybe a bad idea. why not move it onto its own shelf and see if noise stops

i have both my ps4 and xbox in cabinet on its own (i put my ear next to them)

xbox makes lower pitch sound (fan) (i can hear HDD sometimes clicking)

ps4 makes a deeper sound

Thats both running dash, but once games kick in ps4 sound levels go really high and xbox stays the same.

i cannot hear xbox sitting on my sofa at all, but can hear ps4 once games are running

The Xbox One dash is very laggy. Not a fan of it.

Only laggy first time, once you visit same menu again its quick?

It's clunky all the time. Unresponsive. Maybe it just seems that way compared to the PS4s slimline approach.

Yeah menus are a bit sluggush:(

Do you guys put your xbox in instant on or power save?

Starting to think I might as well use power save mode as most stuff needs to load up when I start the console anyway such as Netflix app.
