I just like the no-cd play method, and if i format my pc i dont have to worry about loosing save games or re-installing as steam is on another partition

It'd be interesting to see how it runs on lower-spec systems, tis true. Though I'm quite happy that it'll apparently run well on my 8800/c2d/etc.
