whats the word on the demo? is it out yet? come on this is taking ages, there was a wedding i had to go to today but i wagged it hoping the demo would be out.

The only thing we know at the moment is that its due out soon . But what usually happens with game demo's is that they just *appear* and there isnt a set date for them like the 360 demo's. Ive played the 360 demo lots now and there is a way to unlock the "hard" difficulty by changing your account settings, I doubt this can be done on the PC though.

I thought the minimum spec was a DX9c graphics card because of the HDR.

If this is true its a bit naff as the x800 cards are good.

if so i feel ya, i felt the same way when battlefield 2 came out and it would not run on the gf4 ti4200 i had. reason was cuz bf2 needed pixel shader 1.4 and gf4 has v1.3 so a huge bunch of people were gutted.
i did not make the mistake again though and bought a 6800 card over a x800 one. main reason was shader model 3.0 but also the pipeline unlocking and the quadro mode on the 6800.

So your saying it just wont run? A lot of new games I've tried still run very nicely on my card I was planning on getting a HD2900XT in the near future anyway...

The machine I'm on now has a 6200, its crap I tried running 3DMark06, it didnt even get 1 FPS lol.

at least you can run it. those with x850xtpe gangster edition cards can;t even get that far without shader model 3.0.

BioShock maxed in Dx10@1440x900 4xS or so should be decent, maybe crank the AA up some more if performance is good.
