**The one and only Official BioShock Thread**- now with added **SPOILERS**

I would much prefer rapidshare links too. Got a subscription there.

Going at about 150k from Softpedia now, 3 and a bit hours to go, or so it says :/

LOL softpedia and torrents are now screwed. Seems the sheer number of people trying to get the demo has just caused servers to have a spazz. May aswell wait till midnight tonight then :(

sigh dont know why they just let the demo be out now its been leaked and we could have decent servers to download insted of making us wait for no real reason

As good as the game looks there's still a possibility that I may not like it. Hence I would rather try the demo before buying the game.

Adsactly the same here. I know nothing about the game, ignored the hype and not seen any videos. Im just going to get the demo and play the demo, if it's a good game I'll pre-order it and still get it friday.

Dammit, someone needs to get in gear. I... need... this... now!

It's amazing, I have had no intrest in this game what so ever, then a demo comes out and it's "hard to get" so naturaly I must have it now! Getting it via torrent, but very slowly, around 20kbs.

It appears the demo on Fileplanet is a money making racket, I say racket because I think paying for demonstration software is scandalous.
Looks like the game maker can make a quick buck through Fileplanet & is doing so...

It must be infuriating for paying subscribers of Fileplanet to see the game available on torrents/Softpedia, which is presumably a working unlocked version too.
The game makers could probably make so much more money by releasing the game at the same time in the US & UK too, as there may be a err working version available online before the UK release date, which will serve the game makers right. Then again, if game retailers didn’t make eg 90% profit on titles then there probably wouldn’t be err free versions online. It’s like you can get HD films from the US before they come on cinema in the UK, wtf!

Knowing my luck I will get a CRC error when I try to unpack it, dont think any .zip has worked for me on vista yet. I'm hoping as it's via torrent it can't go wrong as it's <insert some technical jargon> checked and verified as it's downloaded.
