The ONE AND ONLY ***OFFICIAL*** Crysis thread - SPOILERS!

help!

I am stuck in the caves, got so far into it - the part where there is no gravity, went through the round doors that open up then goes dark for a second or 2. Now there are about 5/6 of the flying aliens about.

No idea where to go as the big door in there wont open up. Any ideas or do people need a screenshot?

Thanks

is anyone else having issues taking screenshots with the e_screenshot=1 command?

i set up the width, height, type etc with the respective commands, but when i use the screenshot command, the screenshot is totally messed up. as if it was one of those puzzles where you move the pieces around until it all fits. lol, sounds stupid i know. i cant resolve this at all, or find anyone with the similar error

screenshot, but it could be the bit where you have to kill all the aliens in the room then the doors open(in classic oldskool fashion)

I am just after a bit of help. I cannot seem to get out of the Sphere. I have just saved Prophet and need to find some Power for him, but I am stuck and cannot find the way out

TIA :)

Follow the green dot on your map you there are plenty of fire on the way where Prophet can recharge heat. You should end up crossing the bridge out of the sphere.

Just completed it and it's fantastic (albeit a bit rubbish ending) but in the boss fight my fps went down to 7

There were a couple of places where I was stuck in the storyline and the next cutscene/mission wasn't triggered, I had to restart the level from earlier checkpoint to fix that, other than that there wasn't any problem.

Thanks

Installed it okay, but how do I run it?

Edit: got it running... this seems really complicated. is there no other way of free roaming round a map and messing about with stuff?

Nope dont think so, yea its complicated, pretty simple to do basic things once you get used to it tho.

The game either has a glitch or I am blind. I have just been handed the Alien gun from Prophet, and dispatched 3 Alien Soilders. then there is a count down. I followed the green dot, but it only goes a few feet and there is nothing in the way of a heat for me to use. I am stuck in that area

Its not complicated at all really, select island.cry & wait for it to load. zoom down to just above the beach & from 'objects' select 'Archetype entity' vehicles/ land/ & select a tank ( US wTAC is nuke )& drag it onto the map, press ctrl G to drop in the map & away you go, add a tornado /entity/ environment/ tornado, enlarge its parameters for a mega tornado. Go to view & remove all the toolbars to get fullscreen, the little propellar symbol removes the wireframe stuff:D The game will pick up where you are after a minute & all the bots will appear:p

That's one of the 2 glitches that I encountered as well, try restarting from 1 or 2 earlier checkpoint and fight your way through again, this time try taking out the aliens as fast as possible when Prophet asks, and make sure you got all aliens (some maybe a bit far away from you and they won't attack until you got closer). The rocks at the far side of the road should crumble after you've taken out all aliens in the area revealing a path for you to progress.

Ahh, I see. Cheers for clearing that up mate :)

what a cr@p ending!!!!

Very short game, i thought that the koreans that u never killed were meant to help out?

Cant get over the ending though, nevermind! Still enjoyed it!

don't understand why everyone says the ending was rubbish, i think it was very fitting given the context of the story, what did they expect to happen, the aliens all shake hands and have a disco, yes there were some unanswered questions but isnt what building suspense is all about.

Its was a very quick and boring ending, you expect to go back to the island but to be actually go to a black screen then the credits come up, was a trash ending.

I think most people just didn't expect there to be a sequence from a game that is so hyped. After anticipating for the game for so long you'd expect a satisfactory ending.

Also there is no building suspense they told you what they were going to do is to go back to the island so you can pretty much guess what's going to happen in the sequence.
