The ONE AND ONLY ***OFFICIAL*** Crysis thread - SPOILERS!

As Will requested I reluctantly put on Crysis, I also have 16x avail.

I nearly forgot how buggy it was, and it was windowing and acting up just as I enter the Menu's same as the demo.

I lasted 30mins, any longer I would have thrown my mouse of the wall, then it refused to uninstall.

I'm pretty sure Vista is killing your performance, at that same point in the game in that room I'm getting 40fps without AA, your getting 30. I'll post a screen shot in a sec.

Hello romperstomper and willhub, if it isn't too much trouble for the both of you, could you possibly do a little test for me please? If you are willing to do this, it would be greatly appreciated.

If you could start by downloading a program called Process Explorer which is just basically a substitute for Windows Task Manager but gives a much more in depth and more of a conclusive answer on memory usage. Once the program is installed, could you run Crysis (Single Player) and start a new game, once you have control, Alt Tab out of the game and start up Process Explorer.

Once ProcessExplorer has loaded up, navigate to the toolbar and click on the icon that has the red circle around it please.

Once the "System Information" window has appeared, if you then go back to the original "Process Explorer" window and down the left hand side (Process section) click on "Crysis" (It probably won't be called that exactly). Once the properties window has popped up of Crysis, make sure you are on the "Performance" tab.

After the above is completed, could you produce a screenshot of the following 3 windows laid out like this please: (I have just used the Firefox properties an as example) :)

It would be fantastic if the both of you would take the time out to do this for me. I would do this myself but I haven't got Crysis or a 32-bit Operating System. :p

If anyone is using a 32-bit or a 64-bit Operating System and are willing to do the above for me, that would be absolutely fantastic. Could you also state weather you are using Windows XP or Windows Vista and also weather it is the 32-bit or the 64-bit version of the Operating System.

Thank you everyone. :)

Hi, I was trying to do this now but minimizing crysis results in CPU usage from crysis been halted so I cant do print screen with cpu usage unless I had dual screen which I dont atm.

Got 1.4gb of ram left or around that, shows 3GB + really is needed, you can get away with 3GB but 4GB is coming usefull for Vista, I am guessing Vista uses around 20-30% more memory than Vista.

Tried 4xAA, was unplayable and then minimizing game and re entering it caused like total lag even in the menus.

Hello willhub, superb, thank you very much. If you don't mind, could you possibly take one last screenshot of just the "System Information" window without Crysis running please? :)

Fantastic, thank you for doing all of that for me willhub. If anyone else is willing to do the same for a 32-bit Operating System, that would also be fantastic. :)

Now if I am reading the graphs correctly, under the WS Private (Working Set Private) column which displays how much physical memory the application is using, Crysis is only actually using, just over 1GB of physical memory.

Now please correct me if what i have said above is wrong. :)
