The ONE AND ONLY ***OFFICIAL*** Crysis thread - SPOILERS!

Sorry if I'm being lazy but does anyone know a good config that would work well with my spec in sig?

I'm using one now with DX10 and whilst it is better than normal system settings on high it gets pretty choppy and is kind of annoying. I'm not too bothred about using DX10 but obviously the nicer it looks the better.

PS. Running at 1680x1050 on Vista x64

Thanks!

Couldn't see this posted anywhere else in this thread, but when you are installing this game, choose custom and deselect the French, Czech, Hungarian and Polish language packs as it saves ~668MB.

I find it shocking that they still have not released a patch for this game. Many people are obviously having issues, and even they pretty much said there are performance issues (as though we did not know).

By the time this patch hits, it will almost have been 2 months since release. COD 4 has already had 4 patches and the game was only released a little while before Crysis.

Almost as bad as the Bioschock patch - fix things in time for nobody to care any more.

Anyway, jsut in a bad mood here and needed something to bitch about :)

Thank god you don't have to do what I did when I started gaming. Back in the old DOS days you had to create bootdisks to run games to free up enough memory. Editing the autoexec.bat and config.sys files. Those were the days, I had a boot disk for every game near enough.

I don't know why but it really iritates me that you guys find it hard to open notepad copy paste the info and save the file as autoexec.cfg in the crysis main folder. What is hard or long winded about that.

But you seem to think this sounds easier "Easy way - select any CFG file from config & copy & paste it to your desktop, rename it autoexec, open it with notepad & delete contents, insert new contents, save file & put back where it came from" Thats the same as what I said except the long way around.

I give up trying to help people.

In each patch they have only fixed one issue though, and the last patch was just to add a map. 4 patches is nothing really.

You shouldn't talk like that it makes the game makers think its ok to release a game unfinished. Saying 4 patches isn't much is bad. A well made game should need none or one at the most.

I completed bioshock before it was patched and didn't find any issues other then the sound one. Now thats quite well made.

I completed CoD4 and Crysis without any patches, haven't had any issues at all. The things they have fixed in CoD4 are multiplayer issues which I hadn't even noticed anyway.

Your saying TeamFortress2 isn't a well made game? A game that has had countless number of patches released, all to improve the game in every aspect. And your telling me a good game should have none or one patch.

Jeez:confused:
