Seems like the textbook response to body shamingIt looks like he's taking it well at least:

Dowie obviously thinks that a random nobody on twitter being hypocritical is interesting.
This is only if they are supposedly progressive or left wing though. The extremity of it from the same thing from other political/social viewpoints seemingly isn't interesting to him.
Can you not read Jono?Nope... not "a" that's not how Twitter works, the pics were getting posted by plenty of large accounts, it was trending, those were the top posts.
Twitter's trial for its lawsuit against Elon Musk will take place over five days in October, the Delaware Chancery Court decided following a hearing in which both parties made the case for their preferred timelines.
Why it matters: This is much closer to Twitter's preferred timeline. The judge sided with the company's arguments that delays will further harm its business.
What happened: Twitter's refuted the argument that deep analysis into fake accounts was needed for the trial, mostly because it wasn't even a factor in the acquisition agreement.
- She also noted that in this particular court, a trial is only one event in case — there are post-trial briefs, bench decisions, appeals, and more steps until a final resolution.
- It also argued that prolonging the case would make it hard for the company to make important decisions for its operations in a timely manner.
Round one to Twitter.
You love to see it!
very poor job of reading the room. i feel you've intentionally mistaken what sankari views are here, but perhaps just you're not able to see what's clear as day from his post.I'm surprised you're so Pro-Musk,
I don’t get why people have this obsession with twitter and free speech, as if your speech is in any way connected to some social media company? How is your right to free speech currently being infringed upon? Twitter is a private company, they can do whatever they want. If you want to say something they don’t like, go and say it somewhere else.So do you want Elon to buy Twitter or don't you? For me it feels like if Elon buys Twitter then it's good because Elon owns Twitter and will improve the platform for those of us who care about free speech, and if Elon doesn't buy Twitter then it's a shame but I guess he got out of a bad deal. I'm not sure what your actual position
Several in this very thread have complained about me to mods because I hurt their feelings. The righties don't care about free speech, try being a dissenting voice on any of the rightwing platforms, you will get banned. They just want a vehicle to push their bile.
If Elon really cared about that crap, he’s just make his own one like Trump did.
People with at least 10 replies!
What are these 'rightwing platforms'? The biggest ones around are generally moderated by a bunch of left wing loons who'll ban anyone who doesn't agree with their crazy group think. The righties don't care about free speech, try being a dissenting voice on any of the rightwing platforms, you will get banned. They are hardly comparable to the likes of Reddit/LinkedIn etc are they?Gab/Parler for a while, not sure they are still going.Remains to be seen with "Truth" social, but if it survives and is opened to the world I pretty much guarantee its a ban fest for dissenting views.
Twitter is still fairly balanced, just people who also rage at the BBC think otherwise.
Is that relevant to the point? They are hardly comparable to the likes of Reddit/LinkedIn etc are they?
Surely you can see the flaw there, it just doesn't necessarily work as well that way. Obvs Trump hasn't exactly succeeded with his but even established companies will buy existing firms, Facebook would have been capable of going with it's own Instagram rival or Whatsapp rival but made the decision to buy up those firms instead. Goolge ought to be as best placed as anyone to build a social media company and yet they've been trying and failing for years with their google plus attempt and whatever iteration of google hangouts etc.. they're on.

The difference in my mind is the price - $44 billion is just insane. He either has no concept of money, wasn’t serious about it in the first place, or just wanted to get 420 in the share price. Possibly all three.
All Elon would have to do is make his own one, spend a bit on advertising and his entire army would flock to it to sit there and swallow every his every word in some massive Elon-echo worship chamber, which is what he really wants.
In the context of the discussion about "free speech" how are they different? They'll still ban anyone who doesn't agree with their crazy group think and they are the ones run by crazy right wing loons. They are hardly comparable to the likes of Reddit/LinkedIn etc are they?
