Musk: 'This is gonna be a free speech paradise, proper Wild West style!'

Also Musk: 'Why are the advertisers dumping me? It's so unfair!'

Which is it, Musk? You didn't change anything with regard to content moderation, or you did everything you could to appease the activists? Can't have it both ways!

Read this morning about employees logging on and then seeing their laptop had been remotely wiped. Really **** way to tell your employees.

Can you imagine if in less than a year Twitter was valued at less than $1bn. That'll be a very costly gamble for musk.

I won’t be sad if twitter dies. It’s hugely US centric and allows all manner of crazy to try and cancel the careers of people. A small clique of pathetic journalists that wouldn’t have made it at the local paper 20 years ago are allowed to spout opinion as fact. Let it burn.

So easy to link to the actual Tweet, rather than a screenshot

So not going well then Elon?

Volkswagen has become the latest brand to pause advertising on Twitter since Elon Musk's acquisition of the social media company.

"We are closely monitoring the situation and will decide about next steps depending on its evolvement," Europe's top carmaker says in a statement.

Yesterday, food manufacturer General Mills, which owns brands like Cheerios and Lucky Charms, did the same - saying it was continuing to monitor the social media company's "new direction" and wanted to "evaluate [its] marketing spend".

Other brands to have paused paid activity on the platform so far are US car giant General Motors, Audi and Pfizer, of the pharmaceutical industry.

While there are elements of this on the whole its just not true. There is a whole load of decent content on it.

The thing is with Musk I am starting to get the thought that he has ripped every Tesla owner off. If they had told him to do one with his 80k cars he would have come back with okay how about 40k.

Suckers!
