I hear Elon is time persons of the year.

I agree with that (from my tech interested life).

A couple things to add.

1) don't get a boner guys, time person doesn't mean great, e.g Hitler and trump were both in the cover. It just means influencale for good or bad.

2) I expect all those users who want us to shut up talking about Elon, now agree that Elon should be times person.

Most of them recently.

I mean he's quite obviously gone down the right wing rabbit hole of nonsense/conspiracy theories. He also called for people to vote for the GOP. The GOP in its current form is nowhere near "moderate". It is filled with literal lunatics (and i'm talking about actual lawmakers, not random people on Twitter that Dowie found).

Don't forget. It's not us that made the claim he's moderate.

Maybe they can present the "moderate" and nothing else case.

They can't of course - what views/beliefs does Musk have that make him particularly right-wing or even "far right" as at least one person seems to believe?

So far it seems the worst things he's been accused of are responding to people who are "bad", telling people he's an independent but has voted democrat until now but with a democrat president he'd like independents to vote Republican and being anti woke nonsense.

As far as US politics is concerned he seems very much to be a moderate/independent, non-woke liberal. If people disagree they could perhaps provide something substantial beyond the usual "Space Karen" "Spaceship man bad" stuff... Or just straight-up personal attacks on him "ackchually his ex-wife* said that she was holding their baby at the precise moment he passed away, not him".

Of course pointing out that lots of the stuff said about him is just hyperbole/nonsense will also get taken to mean you must totally support him in everything. Some people don't see the difference between pointing out he's being a **** at times and just blindly going along with the notion that he's some far-right/full MAGA loon.

*who he's known to have had an acrimonious divorce with. His other exes seem to get along fine with him mind.

I think you'll find a lot of reasonable people who think "woke politics" is a dangerous ideology. Consider that a Conservative position though, what else is there? I suppose free speech is no longer a left wing view lol

Are you just wilfully ignoring everything he is posting at the moment? He's just parroting loads of GOP/Trump conspiracy nonsense on a daily basis. He is even siding with them on the Vindman thing which is clearly absurd.
