Tesla is covering most of the cost. Musk pumps Tesla stock, then borrows money against Tesla to pay SpaceX bills. Round and round the ponzi goes

Generally deliver? Like the fake solar roof tiles? Like the fake hyperloop? Like the fake flying car? Like the fake Robo taxi? Like the fake Robo trucks? Like the fake Solar roadways? Like the fake FSD? Like the fake boring tunnels? Yes I'm sure he'll deliver any day now ;)

Also "bullish" is one way to describe a con artist. I guess Elizabeth Holmes was just a bit too bullish then
The flame thrower was cool tho rite

You’re knocking Musk generally in reply to my specific statements about SpaceX.

Apple cars is going to be the AI vehicle cross over i think.

But only after experimental non branded versions are run

Musk didn’t build SpaceX to get man to the moon. NASA and congress are to blame for missing deadlines. HLS Starship was the only option they could afford because SpaceX are covering most of the system development costs for their own business. They chose the highest programme risk option because it’s all they could afford. If they wanted speed they would have chosen an Apollo reheated approach using twin SLS.

Musk is always bullish over SpaceX timelines but they generally deliver. Within a few years he’ll be providing low latency internet direct to phone for most of the planet and raking in cash. That’s the goal of Starship not Artemis. Then on to Mars.

I was watching a video where NSF interview some NASA employees about Starship and its insane idea to have a cable lift system to get astronauts up and down to the lunar surface. You can see they are more than concerned at this idea and when you think about it it is insane. If anything in that system fails they are dead and stuck on the Moon. They should have chosen a different system. Blue Origin system makes far more sense, is actually doable in the next 5 years. SpaceX haven't even got to orbit yet let alone being able to launch several Starships (Elon says 8, NASA says 16) within 24 hours to refuel a a Moon lander.

SpaceX aren't sending any humans to Mars before 2050 if even then.

Musk has been bullish over everything he does, not just SpaceX. In 2017 they already had the working tech to do multiple Tesla Semis in convoy across the US with no drivers according to Musk. That was clearly an outright lie.

Sorry I don't buy Starlink ever being able to handle that kind of traffic. It is already easily saturated and download speeds drop and their userbase is not that big. You want to add 1 billion plus phones with the majority being in North America and Europe?

It's going to be a premium product, given that the vast vast majority of humanity lives in tightly packed cities that are easily covered buy current arrangements, I don't see Starlink replacing legacy providers for those customers. The moment you move away from the densely populated areas it will be a different proposition. Want to go hiking in the Andes, pay for a temporary contract with Starlink. Running a mining operation in Namibia you'll go Starlink. I think they'll create a market for premium telecoms and internet users that their system can support.

The problem with the current luddites is that they have a valid point now with the likes of Amazon spying on you with their products, so naturally there are less people willing to defend.

That's true, but anyone with half a brain could have seen that unleashing these machines onto an already paranoid and skeptical public was going to be a recipe for disaster. They should only ever be used for niche roles in carefully controlled environments.

What valid point do they have re: Amazon "spying" on you?
It was just an example because they (tech companies) all do it and the punishment is marginal at best.

Additionally the beta-testing of pedestrians with these cry who never asked to be involved should rightly air their 'concerns' however they see fit.
