Yes but that would require the person to actually have $1 billion cash and not just paper money and loans like Elon musk

i'm really trying to see this from your point of view, but i can't seem to get my head that far up elon's backside
and? so what that people focus on this for brief moments in a thread. what a weird issue that you want others to stop.
rather than join in the discussion, some people (roar) choose to focus on the fact that users are saying billionaire should pay more in tax.
what a sad position to be against. not just the position of being against billionaires paying more tax, but being against people chatting about it briefly in a thread about elon

exactly. don't worry that billionaires are taking so much money from their workers, because at least those workers can order food to their door within 15 minutes! we are all so lucky that the billionaires let us do that.

Plenty people have replied, and plenty people have had some fun. This is GD. This is Roars posts. Rarely should they be taken seriously as he is someone that has literally said "I'm glad you can't have kids because you'd be a bad dad", or "I bet you have thin arms", or "you're such a loser posting on a Friday night on a forum"
It is fair for people to then laugh at his latest post where he defends the amount billionaires are taxed, because luckily they have allowed us to order food on our phones.

Yeah, I get all that.
It's just that it's dreary scrolling through large numbers of posts which effectively say only "omg u suk". I don't have an issue with "you said x which is nonsense because a,b and c" posts- that's fair enough.
I'm not defending roar particularly. A lot (most?) of his comments are... not demonstrably factual.
My centrist dad advice: Be the forum member you’d like others to be. Don’t lower yourself to the level of others on their worst days.

I don't think anyone has lowered themselves to the level of Roars posts where he tried to insult someone's weight or their ability to have kids just because they post something he didn't like, but in fact everyone is allowed to be light hearted and have some fun, and you may find this is the best response to some posters because of the nonsense they post. If someone posts nothing but "I don't understand politics at all, but I hope trump wins as I want to watch you meltdown as I don't like you", surely you're not going to tell us we can't laugh at that and instead we should all be dissecting and provide counter arguments etc? Don't be silly this is GD
