The Orville : New Horizons

I loved the first two seasons, but i was a bit underwhelmed with this one. The humour seems to have dropped off a bit. it seems to be taking itself a bit more seriously, i havent yet decided if thats good or bad.

the Dr / Isaac stuff has gone on too long. Its a shame they've killed off the new girl too. I'll be back for season 4 if there is one.

I dont understand the hate for the new star trek stuff personally. Ive really enjoyed it. I'm not a proper tekky though, i watched all of the next generation, but couldnt get into deep space nine, and didnt bother with any of the others.

There is rmours of a reboot of battlestar galactica which hopefully will be good.

Is orvillle done at season 3?

I binged it over 2 weeks all three season. Thoroughly loved it.

A bit dubious at first but man, was it a good balance between off cuff humour and some wicked sci-fi action and sorry telling.

It feels like what Star Trek should be and how real people would deal in there situations.

It wasn’t showing on my Disney+ banners which might not bode too well for its reception. I hope it gets the viewing figures required to continue.

A million ways to die in the west is a great film. Ted was a bit marmite on me tbh.

Obviously family guy and American dad,

Now Orville. His talent is clearly great but to branch out to film and television as well as such varied genre that is impressive.

The man is god-blessed.

I really want o watch more of this Orville. The cast are well chosen as well.

Doctor and Isaac relationship is very very relevant. People in these day and age can easily fall for AI or chatbot or fake persona due to their inherent isolation. Which the doctor as A single working mum raising a teenager and an 7yr old is likely to be quite easily emotionally swayed. Well played.

Add I think a few Sing band Albums as well.

Finally getting round to watching this. When does it get good? I'm episode 4 season 1 and it's a struggle. Season 1 feels budget.

Reading reviews, and people are saying that season 3 is the bad one and season 1/2 are what's great about the show. I may give up if this is the best it has to offer.

Is there a story or anything in this show? I was hoping for some sort of over all story that is lead by the characters, rather than a random episode each week, like how family guy you can watch any episode followed by any other episode and it not matter. Seems that's the same with this?

I subjected myself to the first two episodes of Disco S5...gonna have to watch something much better tonight to try and recover. Might start watching The Orville from the beginning again.
I saw that, I thought you were very brave or highly intoxicated. I stopped watching that in series 3.
