The Outer Worlds 2

Having had to choose between HDR and frame gen due to severe UI ghosting, I chose HDR. Frame gen is messy with this game, which is a shame as it could do with a boost.

@Kelt interesting to see your Ram usage same as mine, it’s definitely using a good chunk.

Had a quick look but was stuck on a ship, looked fine in an internal environment, 4K, DLSS balanced, no FG. Probably give it a good try later.

I use RTX HDR, DLSS upscaling and Xess frame gen, seems to work best for IQ/FPS.

I've decided to quickly restart after finding out Guns and Lucky we're not the best skill choices at the start. I know I'll never be able to use all of the skill checks but I'd done a decent bit of content and found one single thing that Lucky worked on

I kind of wish I had taken lucky! I came across a pretty big one a couple of hours ago. There are meant to be a few more. I’m only using guns, so have piled everything into it.

I took brilliant, doesn’t add much. Also witty, not sure how much I need that beyond a few extra lines of dialogue. Would take lucky and brawny next time. There are loads of things that brawny would open up.

The second world is pretty! Especially at night.

I just started and I couldn't figure out why the game felt absolutely terrible and then I looked into settings and realised frame gen turned itself on, how anyone plays with that on I have no idea

x2 isnt too bad, I barely notice the difference on x2 in games, but x3 and x4 I can definitely feel (especially on competitive games, so I tend to avoid putting it that high)

Lucky helped me get the best result at the end of Paradise Island...

Quite refreshing to see people discussing the game mostly, and not some brain dead boomer having a meltdown over A/B bodytypes in character select.

The start of this one is much stronger than the first.

I gave up the first time I played the first one, it took soooo long to get going. I persevered during lockdown and ended up enjoying it. This one is much more punchy at the start.

It's not a popular game, so the influencers and YouTubers who like to bandwagon for clicks don't care because it's not content that will generate clicks for them. You see a lot more discourse about social issues in popular games because those people are just bandwagoners and they are attracted to what gets more views.

That's also how you can easily see who are the bandwagoners; when they only talk **** about the most popular content and ignore everything else, it means they don't care about what they're saying it's just for money and the same goes for people who flip their content on a dime because something else is more popular. Take for example Asmongold, who used to make clickbait bandwagon gaming videos, but now that politics is more popular with his viewer base, on a dime he flipped and now almost only makes political videos

Preferring the second planet to the first. Lots more going on, much more to explore.

I just took pickpocketing and wish I had taken it far earlier! I couldn’t be without lockpicking, there are just so many locked doors. Engineering/brawny seems to be the next most frequent, although there doesn’t seem to be anything unique locked away.

I'm playing a criminal start and I chose..... um, a talking skill that I think gives me discounts, and yeah lockpicking I think, but I'm sure there's a way to get plenty of those mag override thingies. Hopefully I can get round to playing it this weekend, got a load of hobby stuff to do and out Sun. The fact I actually want to go back to it though bodes well.

Yes, many key doors seem to have key cards that you can use if you don’t have lockpicking, but they are not easy to find!
