Has the MSI Gaming x 8G been well received by owners and reviewers?

Well mine runs cool and quiet, boosts to just under 2100 (around 2085) without really messing too much with it, happy with everything about it except the price (they're all overpriced atm)

Can the Fan Stop light be controlled independently of the Gigabyte logo? Can all theb lights be turned off?

Quick question for those in the know,

I just got a 1080GTX, all good so far, it's running @ PCI-E 3.0 x16 @ x8 3 0

My CPU is a i7-5820k (28-lane)

Motherboard is an Asus X-99 S

Is this system ok, or will there be any bottlenecks that would prevent the 1080 from stretching it's legs?

Of course not even a good clocking 2500k/2600k will keep it fed if youte at 1080p 144Hz there when cpu will matter more or 1440p for that matter if you have the grunt to be pulling those frames at that res

I'm running 4k,

Will I need a better CPU?

4k is even less dependant on cpu as the gpu will always be the bottleneck in till we get TITAN XXXXXXXXXXX

I just had a quick go at clocking mine 2012 core and 5400 mem, managed 18480 in firestrike standard, that's with my CPU at stock,

I'll have a go at clocking my CPU back to where it was previous later tonight, I imagine I should be able to get close to 20k..

yeh u will be fine basically same setup as me.

should get around 19.5k @ 4.3ghz
