** THE PHANTEKS ATX CASE YOU HAVE ALL REALLY BEEN WAITING FOR - TIME TO EVOLV **

I suggest that you make a pre-order now to secure stock as we have obtained the very first stock off the production line
Do want!!!

..but, I'm always reluctant to buy the first batch of anything as they're always the ones that will have the faults.

..I'll let others buy the first batch and then move in when they've released the proper de-bug Mk2 version :p

..damn 31cm wide!!, its a real fat boy ain't it.

It's only a few mm wider than the Evolv mATX and just 1.5 inches taller, but a whopping 5 inches deeper

That'll be the room for the 8x 3.5" drives then. Which I don't need, only have 2 SSD's. Glad I went with the mATX version, although This will be great for massive watercooling builds.

Price is a bit wrong but a gorgeous case!!!

The Fractal Define S has this buried for value!!!!

There's a reason for the difference in price, the define S is all steel with a plastic front panel.

The Evolve has 3mm thick aluminium plate for the front panel, doors and roof, with a steel frame.

I've gone from a Fractal Arc Mini (steel chassis, steel panels and a plastic front panel) to the Evolve mATX which is double the price, there's no comparison.

The concepts show it with the window and 'front' IO on opposite sides? I don't understand why anyone would design a case with the IO on the opposite side to the window...

You can either get to the IO and not look through the window, or you can look through the window and not get to the IO. You also can't have it against a wall either way, you can't put it under your desk with the window facing you, etc.

Completely stupid.

Please tell me they have changed that and put the IO on the front or the top?

IO on the ATX case is on the front, you can see the plate at the top that opens to reveal the IO.

No immediate plans for a white one. And anyone complaining about the price remember it's got a 3mm Aluminium external chassis, which isn't cheap. Links will be live about 10am!

Well the Evolv will have max 360 front and top where as the Define S you'll be able to have a 420 in the top however (A thickness limitation of 55mm for both radiator + fan applies on 420, 280 and 140 mm radiators).

Not a huge difference cooling wise, I guess it'll be down to which layout suits you best.

Cheers but the define s is £70 cheaper and is exceptional value, only downside is no top filter and they reverted to the old psu filter, apart from that I can't find any fault. The phantek may be 3mm thick so I can see why it demands a higher price.

I went for Gunmetal Chug, I have a some ideas but need to speak to some people.
Wonder if Phanteks supply spare front panels, might have to modify mine also !! Would hate to mess it up

Mummify it in masking tape, draw a grid on it with a fine tipped instrument, shove it under a pillar drill, take some time on it, bobs your uncle.

It *should* be quite difficult to muck up. :)

It would be a little more challenging without a pillar drill. Not sure I'd bother if I didn't have access three 6ft ones in my Dads workshop. :p

L0ol..what an idiot, I mis-read the 'package dimensions' as the 'case dimensions'..:o

..it's only 235m wide, not 310m!!!

Much more reasonable, will definitely get this case if user feedback is positive.
