No , I dont see all the fuss over a slimmer unit. It usual goes on a shelf and you cant stack anything on it anyway. Why care if it's slimmer?
I'd rather pick up a fatter one cheaper. Its not like they are huge and as I said will be on a shelf anyway on it's own.

Bought my 80GB PS3 about 4-8weeks ago for £180 brand spanking off some forums.
Only reason I'd sell to get the slim is if I get Sky HD in a few weeks time and I need the space under the TV, but that depends if I can stack ontop of HD box or PS3

Nein. Tbh if I was going to get a PS3 in the future, I'd rather have the original. Is it true the hard drive isn't upgradable in this btw?

You can upgrade the hdd in the slim. Theres a removable panal at the front, just below where you put the discs in.

Its the angle the picture was taking that makes the slim look bigger than it actually is.
