The Polaris RX 480 Owners Thread.

If anyone sees any reviews today that I miss, could you post the links in this thread so I can use them in the OPs.:)

Thought I'd post here, as my post in the other thread would get lost!

I'm pretty much certain to upgrade from a Nvidia GTX 760 to the RX480, how much of a boost can I expect to get from the initial review benches over my 760?

I'll mostly be playing LoL, Elite Dangerous, and some old steam games I haven't been able to play yet like sleeping dogs, rage, dark souls 2 & final fantasy 13, all at 1080p.

I'll use my pc to edit too, using Premiere Pro and Lightroom.

Thanks!

Been waiting to post these for a while.

Crimson Drivers- 16.5.2 - Came with the card.

Runs quiet(ish) no whine

Everything on the gpu is out the box settings.

Managed to get the core to 1355 but nothing on the mem - any OC to the mem caused a lock up.

Most likely down to drivers that came with the card.(or user error)

Hopefully a newer driver will improve this along with AB.

DX11

Overall not a bad little card

Coped well at 1080 and would probably do ok at 1440 with a few settings turned down.

Sorry it's not as good as a Gregster review. :D

Tumbleweed thread ahoy....not sure why you'd buy one of these. Such a shame. I wanted it to be at least 980 if not matching 980ti. Meh.

Ordered the Sapphire Radeon RX 480 8192MB. Replacing my 7950 finally :) Will update this post when it comes. :)

Ordered Gigabyte 8GB to tide me over until big Vega - sold FuryX a couple of months back whilst value/warranty was still high.

Sure with the name scheme but it is a jump from 28nm to 14nm so it should be outperforming the 970 and 390 but hopefully as the drivers mature it'll pull ahead and in the future gain on the 1070.

Most reviews have it against superclocked 970s and doing rather well tbh. Not bad when you consider its like £100 cheaper?

I am gaming at 720p so this will be more than enough for me and at the price point nothing like it will future proof you for DX12.

I am sick of waiting around so I just went for it. Massive upgrade for me and although most people will snigger, I am genuinely excited.

Got the sapphire for extra warrenty
