ah thanks matt :) think i done it right, i put state 5,6 and 7 to 1050

I just read my post back and i said fun fan Lol, not sure what i was trying to say, but it wasn't that. :p

You might get even lower, experiment and see how you get on. I think mine was almost stable at 1.020v but it crashed after exiting a game so i put it back to 1.050v.

Nice ^. You should try undervolting, you have a high leakage card like me. Try 1.050v and see if it is stable, you'll drop 5c off your temperatures and you can run the fun fan slower. You can also undervolt the memory to at least .900v if you don't overclock the memory.

on the memory do you mean entering 0900 instead of the 1000 that is there?

Suffering random crashes with 1.05v core and 0.9v ram.

In other news my EKWB should be here by Friday, although I'm not sure it's going to help turn this chip into a good clocker.

Well if you add in enough voltage i have seen a few on 1530 core which ain't bad. They used 1.35v to achieve this which on water should be fine.

been trying it on 1080 on the core and 950 on the memory tonight, some unigine valley runs and some doom and battlefield 4.

hasn't crashed so far :)

im guessing undervolting would more likely prolong the cards life?

one last question does it impact the warranty?

here is the gpuz max readings :)

edit : my room is really hot tonight, so how is it looking? :)

after sitting back thinking jobs a good un i checked my max on gpu z again,

after only watching anime streaming for over a hour on firefox and found my voltage has went over what i set as max??????

drunk and confused but i set the volts when sober and have not touched them.

heres a pic of gpuz and my wattman settings :)

oh crimson crashes every time i click watt man on windows 10 retail 64 bit btw, i keep having to go in the start menu and restart it, eg i set voltage etc close it go run benchmarks etc maybe play doom and i can guarentee that crimson will crash as soon as i click on watt man lol

edit : here is the rest of my system

can provide a dxdiag if required :)

drunken edit 2 : just put core and mem back to auto and left my room with the pc on the desktop after updating gpu-z and came back to this vddc with my comp on the desktop lol, my desk top seems too of caused my gpu to hit 100% load??

hehe leaving it on auto the now and going to bed :)

^ Not sure, perhaps just a spike.

@Kaap, I've recorded some RX 480 gameplay using Vulkan, thought it could go in the video section of the OP? :)

Doom Vulkan | RX 480 | 1080P - Ultra Settings | The UAC

if memory is on auto everything gets pinned to 1150mv so you need to find the best undervolt for memory *then* play with the core else you can set the core to 800mv and think its working but its actually 1150mv as you observed....

my wattman also crashes the app almost every other time i use it. So its not just you :)

Known issue, we're on it.

I would recommend creating a shortcut to Radeon Settings and pinning it to your taskbar. If and when it crashes, click the shortcut and Radeon Settings will load back up within one second and you can re-enter Wattman and adjust settings.

thanks guys :)

my memory wasn't on auto the first time the voltage hit high, in the wattman pic its on 950, the voltage was fine playing games and benchies all night but jumped high when i was just streaming videos.

it was only after that when i switched both back to auto then something caused my gpu to hit 100% for no reason while sat on the desktop lol

good to hear their working on the wattman crashes :)

Just ordered my second reference card, figured wasn't much point forking the extra money for the partner cards since I'll be limited by my first one anyway. Plus, I'm thinking of water-blocks eventually for the two. :)

Hurry up OC, I ordered like 20 minutes ago!
