I'm not even sure there's anything beyond Facebook and Reddit posts? Although there have been previous allegations so I assume that's why the fire has spread so rapidly.

Ahh ok I missed the previous allegations bit.

I wasn't calling "liar" just seemed a weird reaction to a facebook post without evidence.

Well hopefully some proof comes out and he gets what's coming to him then.
 
It was by far and away the worst gaming forum. Nobody will miss it. It's not surprising at all that it was ran by hypocrites. Malka (the owner) has a history of sexual assault allegations, of which any implication or discussion on the site would have net you an immediate account ban.

Be wary of male self-proclaimed feminists, they only say what they say to try and manipulate you, for their own benefit.

The people who say this;

The vast majority of neogaf posters were awful people, constantly carrying out purity tests and condemning you if you went anywhere near center socially.

Perhaps this is a little over the top? At a certain point all the hyperbole becomes dead horse flogging. Yes there were some toxic individuals...every forum of a certain size has them and NeoGAF was vast and incredibly well known so of course it would act like a magnet, but there were some great people there and some genuinely great discussions to be had.
 
No there wasn't. There were so little in the way of decent discussion because it was under heavy-handed moderation that gave out bans like confetti if they even had a hunch you were deviating from their carefully constructed yet brittle narrative, that's why pretty much the entire internet is celebrating the demise of such a toxic cesspool. People are just relishing the fact that Malka was a rabid SJW who turned out he's really a sexual predator after all!

I guess you'd miss it if you were into asinine stuff like Japanese sales charts... or something.

For the rest of us, life goes on. Find your video game charts, far-leftist circlejerks and weeaboo creepy stuff elsewhere
 
If you want to play at internet edgelords why don't you just hang out on 4chan or wherever their hangout is these days, instead of getting so wound up about a forum that clearly isn't aimed at the likes of you?

Indeed, it was very un-toxic as gaming communities go. A lot of decent people over there and decent posters there. Didn't tolerate any white supremacist alt right toxic women hating trump supporter types which the internet is full of. Just look at pretty much any other popular gaming forums and it's just racist ass holes all of over the place.

Anyhow one vindicating aspect for the community over at neogaf is they have shown no one is immune or above the law, what they preach is what they believe and what they stand by. Pretty much the entire community stood up and basically told the owner to **** off when the allegations have come out and they have closed down the forums themselves. All the mods and admins left within 24 hours and users boycotted the site.

Typical over reaction here, expected nothing less.

There was a brilliant community behind it, lots of interesting people.

On the new discord channel for it now and it’s great the community is gathering somewhere.

The mods for the most part handled it all very well IMHO.

There was no better place for decent gaming discussions and a wide variety of everything else.

Its really sad there was lots of decent threads and information on there.
 
It must be full of virtue signalling idiots if they're all leaving based on a Facebook claim? I'm not condoning sexual assault but there's a thing called innocent until proven guilty and popping up after 10 years to make a claim of sexual assault against someone after never having reported the incident to police at the time raises doubts. If this carries on and the threshold is that exactly zero evidence is needed you can literally accuse anyone of anything publically and even with outright lies ruin reputations and lives of anyone you so choose.

Think his reply had a lot to do with it or lack of reply. He said it statement would be coming but nothing.

Also apparently he tried to convince the mods (this is not confirmed) that he, the girl and boyfriend were part of a sex cult or something silly.

Anyhow even the allegations, imo, aren't exactly anything crazy. He made a move on a chick he was partying with alone in another city, drinking and sharing a hotel room with and got rejected, left and didn't pursue it any further. Yea walking in naked into a shower, if true, is a bit more on the extreme end of making a move but with alcohol i can picture somebody thinking it was a baller move and the chick was into him etc.
 
Oh bum. There was a great thread on there which detailed all the enhancements for every single PS4 Pro game. I hope it’s not lost forever.
 
I hate it when gaming websites get political. I don't care if they are left wing, right wing or centre just leave politics out of gaming. If I want to discuss politics I'll go to a forum that is meant for the subject.

But then games themselves these days are starting to get political which really winds me up. Gah.

In comparison the former owner of OCUK was a open racist, BNP supporter and used to fund them. Made racists threads occasionally yet you didnt see any of the above actions from the community on this forum.

lol mate we're just here to talk about nice hardware and games. Neogaf had become too toxic on its own way and I will be delighted if it never comes back again.

Yeah, the circumstances aren't that out there, but his past.....caught up with him.
