First post with my first camera....

original pic is here: http://www.paulharman.info/Original.jpg

Any tips? Id like to remove the bit at the top right, but not sure how.

Nice shot there. good family moment for you and your partner.

As for removing the top right hand side of the bath, I would think a simple clone of the side of the bath will sort it out. Although it appears that it would bleed into the border that you've put around the image (not a major point though)

Is there anyway i could improve that so that the sun doesnt just look like a massive patch of light and actually resembles a sun?

Chances are you won't be able to do much with that photo itself, as once the sun is blown out like that, it is very hard to restore any detail. The trick next time you try to take a photo like that is to adjust your exposure so that the sun isn't blown, or maybe take multiple exposures at different levels, so that you can capture as much detail as possible. Hope that helps, I can go into a bit more detail about how to do that if you want.

or he can use a grad filter to help balance out the exposures between overblown sun and the ground :)

The thing has me cracking up at the moment. It can't see me with a bowl of coco pops without climbing me like Spiderman and trying to munch the lot. It mooches more than a dog and will eat anything. Not bothered by camera flash either...unlike the other one who actually runs out the room.lol

@knowlesy Would make a funny name.
