(Girl on the right is out of focus, but I was actually well on my way to being drunk whilst taking this photo, so f/stops weren't my priority that night :p

I like 1 and 4 the best, although they have both have a left to right slant...........so do the other 2 come to think of it !! :)
Nice photo's though.

That is rather good! Especially the bird in flight too!

Here's my spare 40D (managed to get it for £460 with 17-85 lens bundle and Lexar Platinum 4GB card recently) in surgery after getting bruised below the lens mount resulting in scratching off of the paint showing the magnesium alloy underneath!

I bought some Plastikote Flat Black spray paint and painted over it and 2 coats later it's as good as new to the persons not in the know :p

And yes, I'm still shooting Nikon too ¬_¬

Good stuff, there is a learning curve whatever dSLR you get but just be sure to keep with some of the ceonventions like rule of thirds, straight horizons etc - also don't be afraid to crop and line up in software after!

Your first shot would look great cropped to a panoramic I reckon :)

Something like this (hope you don't mind):

my cricket game fell through, so had a bit of a play with the flashes and the wife.

snip

Brings a whole new meaning to the phrase, if there's grass on the wicket, lets play cricket! No need to tell us that you had a bit of a play with the wife, that's personal :p ;)

Anyway, I cant say I'm totally convinced with the photoshopping. Your missus seems to be blending into the yellow background in places but around the arms it appears that she's been outlined in pencil.

pp'ing was extreme to be honest. Its my first go at something resembing a pinup style and needs a lot of work as you can see.

I'll have another go with a different pic and see what i can do.

no problem.

Its a steep learning curve, and i think it will be much easier with a graphic tablet.

aha, just spotted why there is a dark edge, I resized a layer halfway through. I removed it and the edge goes... but so does the rest of my work. I'll have a complete fresh start on it.
