That is awesome :D

It has 85mm in its FL but it's certainly not either of those lenses :p
Based on your mentioned lenses, the 17-85mm?

Speaking of 85mm...

Not long received the new Sigma 85mm 1.4 lens. Love it! Hope to play with it more at the weekend :)

I have the Canon version, not f1.4 unfortunately but I LOVE that lens, even on a cropped body giving 136mm, it's very 'fun' for my use!

A recent wedding we covered, stunning bride and a great, fun couple. I've tried to be harsh and get it down to just a few shots but there's still 12, hope that's ok.

Bravo! Very well composed and that 2nd shot is brilliant! Well spotted.

This shot reminded me of this thread:

Maybe worth a try?

Looks interesting, going to have a try ta!

Edit*

I didn't like the look the tutorial gave the above image but I tried it on another 2 and got pleasing results :)

I'll do a few more to get the process locked in my mind and have already linked to the blog post via my FB page :)

Also, Mr Jones, correct!

Mint sauce - a nice variation on composition and shots - the only criticisms I have are that the red is overplayed a bit in the second to last shot for me, and number 4 needs a little crop for symmetry - a little distrcting having it off centre ever so slightly.

Really liked the first one and number 8.

I hadn't seen that it was ever so slightly off but now you've pointed that out it's bugging me. Looking at the Ivy shot again it does look a bit brighter than it should really, I think when pictures are rendered out smaller, colours looked more clumped and obvious. On the larger version it's not as obvious but if they're printed they'll end up small again so I should tone it back a touch, cheers.

I concur !!!

Those are really nice :)

Thanks Raymond.

Very Dave Hill - ish! :D

Cannot believe I have not heard of Dave Hill before now, absolutely stunning work :O

A new picture I've gotten round to processing off the RAW dump from my Pakistan visit. The mountains of Afghanistan:

A few birds from Bushy Park today, mostly boring seagulls!

including my first attempts at birds in flight. I'll be damned if I can get the focus point in the right place.
I wasn't using my regular camera today having broken it!

Nice sharp shots there footman. My favourite is the Grey Heron with that menacing look he has and the lighting on it is superb :)

thought i would cross lomo process an old fb picture to give it some spice.

Quite like the film-look output. Needs more grain i think ?

Fusion, I like the shots of Chatsworth house, particularly the one of the lights on the wall for some reason? May be worth some further processing to get a nice effect on that one!!
My only critique is I see in the first one you were shooting at f/3.5 which is why the detail behind the staircase is lost and blurred, maybe this is the effect you wanted but personally i would have wanted it all in focus?

ElDude - I love that photo! I was just thinking to myself before checking back on this thread if anyone would use the recent foggy weather to their advantage and thinking of ideas on what I could shoot. I really like that scene, maybe a tighter crop to lose the black down the right and some of the path at the bottom to make the streetlight the focal point even more so? Just an idea?
