Couple of my recent shots from a walk around before one of my night shifts, Just trying a few techniques including gross saturation and some hdr mixed in, tell me what you think, only way to improve but next on my list is a 50mm fixed prime or should i get a wide angle ;-) too many choices.

Love shooting here with a portrait lens, just waiting to get the right shot, luckily the book market is open every day.

love this shot, really pops. If you dont mind what are your LM settings here? how did you achieve that....

Thought I'd share these since I haven't posted them on these forums yet:

Well it was taken with my 100 2.8 I just used a little bit of desaturation whilst keeping and increasing the yellows and the reds slightly. Finally adding a slight lomo look around the edges to center the shot. I just play around in lightroom but I think it is a preset I have that desaturates but keeps in colour slightly. It is perfect for candid shots but sometimes I like to take out the lomo effect depending on the subject matter.

Go HERE to see it as it is too big to upload on imageshack. I think it could do with could do with sharpening as an afterthought. Taken with the Canon Kit Lens on one of the best viewpoints of Barcelona imo.

Another portrait, Again my wife being the unwitting victim and she and I went to meet a friend and I "forgot" to tell her I had my camera with me.

Ah one of those ones. She's wondering why you're walking so far ahead and "BAM", you jump into a 180 degree spin and do a ninja photo.

;)

I love all three of those. I was wavering about getting a nifty fifty, but I think that's pretty much made my mind up.

One of the Pyrenees taken from Montserrat mountain just outside Barcelona during my visit just over a week ago.
It was an amazing visit with spectacular views.
The pic was stitched together using Microsoft ICE and the lens used was the Canon 55-250 lens. I've shrunk it down as it would be too wide to fit on screen.

Just to give you an indication of where I was standing when I took the pic, the one below is overlooking the Monastery which is on the mountain top.

Picture is really overexposed. Did you use an ND filter for the shot, if not its almost impossible to get a runny river picture like the one you attempted during the day.

No filter on lens, was under a whole load of trees when taken on a cloudy day. Did play around in lighroom, may have to edit it again and turn down some exporsure settings.

hit some roof tops over Portsmouth last night (12am to 4am).

(Torches used for this, not flashes)

And the access to the roof, wall busted open!
