Thanks for the feedback guys. I thought about cropping but I like to keep it to standard ratios. I used to do the artistic crop when I first started but I think I like it when everything is the same.

I like the crop and foreground interest, if I was being really picky I'd clone out the cables on the right and maybe the roof in the lower right corner that is reflecting light so stands out a bit. Although to be honest I never do any of this kind of stuff myself, so who am I to say anything! :D

I hate how the o2 cables and roof creep in, but I only have lightroom and the time spent cloning that stuff out isn't proportionate to the quality of the picture ;)
I really hate the shard of metal sticking out of the floor. That is not art.

Just goofing about with the lens!

Jimmy1982: I've never shot karting, it looks like fun :) Panning can be a bit hit and miss, it's all practice practice practice. Try and get in closer, get shots from more of a front angle perhaps so you see the drivers face, mess around with slower shutter speeds.

Thanks, yeah first attempt at it. You are limited where you can stand I tried a couple facing straight on towards the driver but the sun was also facing the sun which I struggled with.

Iam annoyed as I only figured out I need f22 late into the session so have loads of shots with are rubbish and the karts look stationery :(

What focus style would you have used? AI Servo?

Yeah for panning I use Servo AF. With Karts if the track has a corner with kerbs that they bounce over, you could also try higher shutter speeds to catch them in the air. You could also possibly pre focus for that as well.

Depending on light you end up with a low ISO and high f-stop depending on the shutter speed you are going for. It's good fun though isn't it? :)

Yes loved it! Started doing some football photos aswell which I love too.

Thanks for the settings tips, I've no idea if I used Servo AF or not  I've never changed it, still a newbie!

One of mine from Canary Wharf. Canon 400D. <3

Another from London Bridge (Taken during rush hour... you have no idea how long it took to get this shot with no one walking by!)

I have to come clean, I haven't got out to photograph for at least 6 months. I feel slightly ashamed.
