Yeah 1280 tall might be a bit much. For landscapes sure, but for portraits I'd be surprised if even 1% of people on the forum can fit a 1280 tall image onto their screen

For what it's worth 1280 is too big here, it loses it impact considerably when I have to scroll up & down to see the whole picture. Agree with what Ksanti said about landscape is fine but in portrait I don't think posting in 1280 is doing anyone any favours.

I barely fits on my 27" imac screen at work, I dount most people will see more than half of the image
