Only thing though now that I see it on my desk as opposed to on the phone, sensor dust!

Really like the processing and comp! Is that the Nikkor 24 1.4?

Now you're making me wonder whether I want an 85mm 1.4 or a ~24mm 1.4 :p

yes, it's the nikkor 24 1.4g. i got a mint second hand one with a quality UV filter and quality CP filter for £1025 which i thought was a pretty damn good price. I have the sigma 85mm 1.4 which is essentially as good as the nikon one but half the price.

I think i'm going to sell my 24-70 and get a 35 1.4 as well....

Be gentle with me.

Meeting Phate (and Tom of course!) has reawakened my interest in photography. Used to have a minolta Dynax 7with vertical grip, 50mm f1.4, 24mm f2.8, 100mm f2.8 macro, 70-210mm F4, a 500mm mirror lense and a 28-200 Sigma lens (i think) for travel.

Sold the lot years ago and just had naff digital cameras or phones since.

Before splashing out on a new SLR kit, I bought a cheap bridge camera from Ebay, a Sony HX100v. This is the first shot taken from the camera. I am impressed by the camera so far. I know the quality of the lens and the sensor can't compete with the kit you guys have.

It obviously wasn't clear before - unless otherwise specified the maximum width allowed for any picture is 1280 pixels.

Sorry not on purpose, just keep messing up the resize :(

Annoying watermark I know, but quite a few of my images are being stolen so I haven't got much choice sadly! -.-

1. If you're worried about your work being stolen then don't post them in high resolution online, or post online at all.

2. I wouldn't be worried about that image being stolen with all the magenta

3. It's not helping

It's pretty annoying how the light is bending through the sky like that. I assume it's because of some sort of cloud in the air? The halo on the skyline in the middle is annoying, there was a layer of mist coming in the distance. I really wish I took some sort of picture of Thursday's sunset. It was epic.

Quick and dirty one as people were working. Don't know if I will try this one again.
