Damn impressive views! A friend is getting married in Vega in a few years and I'm trying to wrangle free tickets in an effort to shoot his wedding, what a trip that would be!

Well done Mrk, I didnt realise Getty images could earn you that much. I had the invite months back and signed up but never did anything with it, think I need to go back and complete the process.

Played with my D700 in very low light tonight 120% Crop as well.

Well i have no Batt's for my Speedlight so i decided to try some drymatic shots using onboard flash only as i was short on time last night to play wiht my D700, Here's what i came up with out of 6 Photo's taken!.

Second one i like because of the interesting back ground but it doesn't take from my girl, I would have used two flashes normally, One as a bounce and one direct with defusser to remove all the shadows, but i kinda like the drymatic effect here.

Thanks! If I can with any luck earn back the cost of the 5d3 then I'll eat a hat!

I'm not very experienced at this type of photography but gave it a go anyway. White sheet (not the perfect kind for this but went with it) YN 467 camera left high 1/2 power triggererd by Miranda 500-cd film flash full power from behind sheet. One second exposure as I don't have any flash triggers...yet.

Well I'm happy with the result and will be trying my hand at more of this type of shot... Need the practise!

Congrats!

Personally with that style of shot I'd try and get lower, but thats probably due to what I normally shoot when using flash (products!)
