Quick one from my first brief trip out with the 400mm (this one has the 1.4x attached)..there is barely any IQ reduction with the extender, nor significant AF speed loss

i really dont wanna rub your groin, you are far to polluted and your means are beyond most normal people but the fact of the matter is your set up produces!

Yeah I would do a 52, except that if it's anything less than the continuous commitment of a 365, then I'm much more likely to keep procrastinating, and also if I put a few rubbish photos into a 365 it won't hurt my commitment too much, whereas it could be quite demoralising in a 52

[like]! Dedication for a 365 though!

Tempted by a 52 myself, also means I can fit it around other stuff easier :p

Hmm let's see how this works.

Broke out the light canopy (white side facing, natch!) and did some watch imagery:

Not sure I like the reflection but it works in a way, I used some watch website images for inspiration -_-

I might manage "12" :p

Hah!

I might manage "12" :p

I find them a good idea, but if it's done from a forum where others choose the subject/theme I find you end up sticking in some complete rubbish as a place holder if you are running short on spare time. I ended up getting extremely annoyed due to other commitments messing up things, then the person chosing themes seemed to start to try to be clever, which ruined it. Then others started posting photos that had nothing to do with themes and it because pointless!

Still, a '12' would be doable :D

Thanks guys :) I'll get some better ones at some point, they're inspired by Shinichi Maruyama who is incredible.

Managing to stick to this at the moment, we'll see how it is when I get back to school but I'm happy so far!

First time getting the chance to play around with my new camera - constructive criticism is always appreciated guys:

Two things I've noticed:

  1. Squirrels are notoriously hard to photograph. :o
  2. We've got some beautiful scenery literally right on our doorstep. :)
