Nice set avatar12m. Where was this?

If I can add a little constructive criticism/feedback it looks like there is quite a bit of (guessing) 'clarity' added on that first shot, which is a great shot none the less. I can notice it on the top of the fuselage and tail section.
Edit: Actually, I'm not sure if my eyes are deceiving me?!

Then on the last shot it's extremely noticeable, but I'm guessing that's the look you're going for?

I really like the second shot!

the pictures where taken near bradford last weekend just off junction 26 on the m62 ath the yorkshire wartime experience.

no problem it seemed to do it when i adjusted the picture in elements where you lighten/darken it in the low mid and dark sliders.

is there an alternative that does not produce the halo effect ?

is there anyway you can reduce the 'highlights' in that shoosh as well as clown as the front two towers are completely blown. Not sure how much it will affect the rest of the photo though.

It's pretty much like that to the naked eye, those floodlights are ridiculously bright!

I'd be tempted to shoot a multiple exposure with one just for those chimneys and one like you've shot for the rest of the scene and then just shop the other chimneys in.

I did take it bracketed anyway so will have a go to see what it comes out like, will post back later

Some from a walk along Tynemouth beach front yesterday evening. I then headed down to St Mary's Lighthouse to get some long exposure shots.
