The "Post your portraits here of random strangers" thread (only for the brave!).

I can't see why you wouldn't want to mix it up a little, or continue to push yourself and peoples perceived social boundaries to achieve more variety and interesting images?
Having 50 images with little difference will devalue the whole set.

The guy who commented about that on TP does have a point this time, however he's never taken a photo of anyone other than his immediate family, dog, or next doors cat, so he could do with taking his own advise.

Whilst mixing it up is good in terms of improving yourself and trying new things I think if you do complete a full set of 50 in the same style and to the level of quality you have already achieved it demonstrates ability to consistently deliver to defined requirement.

To go out on different dates under different conditions yet still able to a new image to a matching existing set shows skill.

Just been looking through your stuff on Flickr Mr Jones... You've got some good stuff on there. Just a quick question... Don't you find that 85mm (roughly equivalent to my 50mm on 1.6x crop body) is a little long? Do people not get in the way when taking photos?

I'm looking forward to starting some of these types of shots in the new year!

Hopefully it'll work this time :p

Was out on the streets of Cardiff early this weekend and got into photographing some very interesting people. This guy does documentary work from what I can remember and is one of my favourites from the set.

Its called frosty morning as it was absolutely freezing!!!!!!!

I'v not used the 105mm tbh.

Personally though I'd chose a good 85 over the 105, either the Nikon 85 1.8G (or 1.4 for if you can afford it) or the Sigma 85 1.4.

Really the Sigma is an amazing lens for the money, practically like the 85L but with much faster focusing...

Ken Livinstone's really let himself go, he's never going to get re-elected now.

This picture was on Have I Got News For You last night with the same joke. I thought I'd seen it on here.
