The price of graphics cards will continue to tank and will stay low for at least 2 years - Here's why

Jeebus, you don't have to answer to anybody on this forum, don't know why we have insinuations about lifestyle in a thread about graphics card prices.
I know lol. Just thought I'd point out just how bad this is, and is going to be. Just riles me when people assume that if you don't have enough money you should just work more. It is so ignorant. Even a 40 hour a week job isn't cutting it now because the issue is hourly rate, not number of hours. Combine that with the cost of everything, well, yeah.

I think the current gen may drop a little more, but then next gen will start high again. There's the wealthy enthusiast early adopter market that will pay whatever it takes. After that we'll see, it depends on how many 30XX cards they have left to sell and whether there will be some delay in releasing mainstream cards because of that.

I did sign my 2 years fixed tariff before last year's October cap hike. I'm lucky until end of July next year.

Electricity
Day rate: 20.66p
Night rate: 12.62p
Standing: 23.38p

Gas
Rate: 3.45p
Standing: 26.59p

I think I'm a bit late to turn my flat into crypto farm :D
Never ever seen Octopus offer a fixed over 12m, how you get 2 years out of them lol.

I'm on a similar fix with EON (but no night rate). Ironically it was over the price cap at the time and the clown Martin Lewis was advising people to just go variable. I even paid £60 to get out of my cheaper fix at the time.

the heating or eating will be the poorest 30-40% of the country who likely couldn''t afford to PC game anyway.
yet can afford scratch cards, cigarettes, booze and takeaways

What about people who are worlinmg full-time and can't afford

You could have got 3 years last Sept frpm them.

Strange Octopus only show me those prices as business rates. choices I get for domestic are smart tariffs, I'm on5p/15p 25pSC

If I go into my account and select the change my tariff option this is what I get:

Octopus 12 Month Fixed:

Loyal Octopus 12 Month Fixed:

I got a renewal email from Octopus offering me electric at 40p day / 7.5p at night which I kind of had to accept. 16p per Kwh up to 40p and that is what is considered a good deal for a 12 month fix these days!

Ah right, I use this for their prices.

Edit to add.

I take it you just renewed your GO tariff, as that will be way cheaper

If you filter on that page for 'domestic' and 'fixed' then you will see that the cheapest fixed rates available to new customers that don't own an EV is 75.38 p/KWh. If you do own an EV the cheapest is the Octopus Go tariff (the one I went for).

So it seems like Octopus don't want any new customers coming from different providers unless you own an EV.
