The Radeon RX 5700 XT Owners Thread.

Congrads, it is a nice card. So far I've been able to get the undervolt down to around 1100mV so far and still get over 2000Mhz gpu frequency (non SE). Still testing though.

Have the same card mate, you will not be disappointed :)

Thanks guys, really looking forward to getting it.

How do you both find the noise under load, gaming etc...?

I have several other case fans so I might not be the best person to ask. However, I cannot hear the fans on the nitro until it gets beyond 65% or so. And even then I have to really pay attention to it.

So, I undervolt using 1100mv and set fan curve to go no higher then 65% and for me I cannot hear it. Temps are 60c/80c

Hmm undervolt and custom fan curve not to bad, modern warefare only thing I'm playing so certain game updates keep messing my undervolt up with Dev errors but apart from that no issues. If running at stock temp can rise to 110c for me. Also trix software I've set it to secondary bios which is silent.

Thanks again.

Ok, so this is going to take a bit of getting used to, especially the temps, I've just come from a water cooled Vega 64, which idled around 15-19° and loaded at approx 40°, so to see temps 100+ will be a shock

I've seen reviews where it puts the temps a lot lower than that for gaming? Unless I've misunderstood something?

For me, without undervolting, I would see temps around 70C (regular)/90C (Junction) with fan speed around 55%-75% or so.
Now that I undervolt from 1200mV to 1100mV I see temps around 60C (regular)/80C (Junction). But this is with the fan speed at 65%. GPU is seen as high as 2060Mhz after 20.2.2 driver in Division 2 now. Keep in mind temps aren't static though it can get higher based on ambient temps at the time.

I could go lower starting around 1070mV and that would drop temps but it also reduces gpu frequency to as high as 2040Mhz. I don't recall temps but I do know it was slightly lower.

Interesting info, what pc case are you using?

XFX are sending me some kind of prepaid box im assuming, had an email to say to wait on tracking. See if its any better, if not im going to try and get a refund or a new card. Either try it or sell and go for that Nitro

Has anyone upgraded from a Vega 56 and can tell me their experience when gaming? Considering the aurus at the moment

Upgraded from watercooled V64. Oh yeah especially because I play WOT :)
FPS went from 100 to over 150 so using Chill to 143fps cap atm. Other DX11 games like ESO, or DX9 like heavy modded ES Oblivion, do not have the "Vega bug", requiring custom profile with P7 state state as the minimum state otherwise FPS is attrocious as the V64 was operating at 500Mhz. X4 also, getting more FPS with higher settings also.

All in all I love my 5700XT AE and more likely going to skip the 6000 series this year, waiting for 7000 next year. I do not play any games who have Ray Tracing and I am over the cap on games that play (WOT etc) or cannot improve more performance on the others are there are CPU bottlenecks (X4) and cannot be improved until a 7Ghz CPU appears with Zen 2 IPC :p

Thanks for this, you say 6000 this year, where did you get that info? Just that I might wait if thats the case
