The Radeon RX 5700 XT Owners Thread.

Hi got my gigabyte aorus 5700xt yesterday installed drivers came up with error so reinstalled which went ok but whilst playing a game it will all of a suddenmske a noise through speakers then restart pc rest of system is amd 3700x and gigabyte x570 motherboard didn't have a problem before I installed the card was useing a sapphire 270x card before any suggestions what might be causing this before I send it back thanks psu is seasonic 750 platinum
Is that a seasonic focus plus psu?

I'd double check on your W10 patches before messing with anything else. There seems to have been a lot of them causing issues for people just recently. Could save a lot of time ;)

Ontop of that my Aorus 5700xt been running sweet as a nut, However I had to downclock it a tad, undervolt and max powerlimit to get it to act normal in BF5 which does seem odd. Otherwise been fine. 63C max temps at 100% load. Vulken update on Siege gave me 40fps boost as well which is insane.

Was literally about the pull the trigger on the aorus 5700xt but not sure now after scanning this threads the 4 year warranty etc for the price seems great

Do it, I have one and it's a beefy gpu for the money. Get the coreclock down and stick 1.1v on it and you'll get 64c max temps with it all day. Super card.

Mines going back today and there's another one going back doing exactly the same as mine but could just be a unstable factory overclock on a couple.mate .Keeps crashing pc whilst gameing think im going to get the sapphire nitro

Definitely not had any crashing issues at stock but it could be driver related since there still Abit ify at times.
I was looking forward to useing this card after doing lots of reading and the latest drivers looked to have sorted the issues people were having but after a few mins in to a game the screen went black loud noise through speakers and pc reset itself doesn't do it with the other card I have I think maybe I've been unlucky and got a unstable card I thought I'd sorted it but no it crashed again after a new install so I'm taking it back now

You sure that's not a power supply issue? Sounds like it peaks wattage and the psu can't handle it.

Yes mate I asked about it on hear and was told it was ok this is the one

Psu is a seasonic 750 so ample brand new so it should be more than enough and theres also the other thread having same issues with his different power supply

Seasonic has warned of a compatibility issue between its Focus Plus-branded power supplies and selected Nvidia and AMD graphics cards, potentially resulting in system shutdowns during periods of heavy load - and its test information suggests it has known about the issue since January.

It’s from late 2018 but still worth pointing out. I do recall issues with the focus brand. However, I’ve not found any statement from them that the issue was resolved since they put out this alert. And it’s the unclear how old the psu is.
