Good looking wee card that
Ohhh yeah... I had that same card 4 months ago...

Trixx had that display scaling similar to NVidia's DLSS but was brilliant cause you apply it in almost all games and sometimes barely tell the difference. It was a beast in terms of performance as well. But I found best to leave everything as stock as the more I tweaked things in AMD Adrenaline I got more black screens and visible stuttering. So I left everything in auto and only adjusted the fan curve. Ultimately I returned the card as I had issues with black screens too much.

Okay card recieved i will post a pic soon to join the club.

Can manage 1900 ram no problems, started at 1800 out the box.
2100 core running at 2050, 1100v , power limit at 20% though I'm not sure it needs any.
That sounds about right?
Temps hang around 60 and 83 hotspot

Also just a word of caution with the nitro, the card started showing artifacts after I tried to boost memory from adrenaline. Not sure why as so many other people seem to tweak it but luckily could RMA it. When I left everything at stock and used Radeon overlay to monitor core clock, the card managed 2055 mostly so didn't really think tweaking was necessary but junction temps did get toasty and fan was limited to 45% I think.

Seeing as i bought a b grade card, what do you think the likely hood is that this is yours lol

Yeah, I used to play GTA V and really pushed this card, so I'd say pay attention to the junction temps, they can go over 100%. Again with my experience I left everything auto and only adjusted fan curve and still got the same performance after manual adjustments or even better so left auto. Also flickering is not a good sign tbh ...sounds like artifacting but mine started to get worse during gaming...like in menus and stuff especially when it wasn't being pushed so hard.

The undervolt and changing the fan curve is all I'm going to do with it as it's only to last me until 3000 series nvidia or big Navi, whichever i feel is best

Congratulations. Seems like you got a good one there. Nice temps as well. I’m guessing you have a well cooled and ventilated setup. Should have refreshed the page and read the rest of the thread before posting. Very good for B grade stock and a tide-you-over card.

figured out my major problem, turned out to be my cpu overclock, droped back to 4.3ghz and what do you know all the crashes and reboots i was getting suddenly vanished and the gpu worked flawlessly including driver install, got my devil overclocked to 2150mhz core (2127mhz in all games) and 1874mhz for the memory clock, set a +50% to the power target and left voltages at stock (1204mv) running on the unleashed bios too

max gpu temp is 54 degrees and the edge temp is 68 degrees which is very cool, have to say at 1440p can't tell the diffrence between nvidia or amd at this point, i'll even go one step further and say i may not need to upgrade to next gen (i'll see whats what when all the new tech drops, if the % increses are only marginal i'll stick with my liquid devil :) )

that is one of the better aftermarket cards...three fans and overclocker out of the box.... really good performance for air cooling

After all this talk of improved performance and feeling I was missing out I've been testing the suggested settings and it seems to work for me as well!
Core tweaked down a bit from 2024 to 2000, undervolted at 1100, along with VRAM at 1900 and everything seems good in games. Currently at 50% power limit so will need to see if that can be reduced, though that's just the theoretical power limit not what it defaults to isn't it?

Yeah. It will draw want it needs to. The limit just extends the max range.

I just got my alphacool block for the 5700XT and now prepping for custom loop. Hopefully I don't fry things up.

Ignore the rainbow puke. kS0pjUX.jpg

Cheers. A few more tests to run then. Jsut run through some bechmarks and no crashes so far so it all seems good enough for me
You can get good 5700 XT for 350 ISH used and for that price the performance it brings is really excellent. We just need to wait now to see what the next gen cards bring to the table
