Nice one guys, these are lovely cards! The XT must have given you a nice boost over the normal 6800 @Metalface Mark

Well i did have a 3090 as well The coil whine drove me mad on it though so i had to ditch it.

6800 was a great clocker too, but still a nice boost, i had to sacrifice 2 fans to fit the merc in my case, its ridiculously long!

A nicely clocked 6800 is still a great great 1440p card!!

I tried a 6900XT switch but really not that much in it to justify.

Has anyone with the merc seen any difference between the stock and the rage bios on it? Im at 2700/2075 on the standard bios, i havent tried the rage bios yet, just wondering if theres any point when undervolting.

So disaster has struck, turned pc off, turned bios to the rage on, turned pc back on, black screen. Card appears absolutely dead. Tried it in my other pc and zilch, nada, nothing.

At a loss for whats happened.

6800 Gaming Trio X has arrived, no idea how to post pics on forum. So far initial tests on cyberpunk and BF5 look great, off to try Tarkov.

EDIT - Just got £325 for my old vega 56 so £475 for this new card isn't bad at all, btw do I need to host images elsewhere to show on the forum or am I missing something

absolutely gutted! it boots into windows (i can tell by my fans changing to the icue profile) but all the ports on the back appear to be dead.

I've never heard of Rage mode BIOS, did you switch to that before the above happened?

Got a successful order in for a Sapphire Nitro+ OC today, along with a new AIO cooler for my cpu and am upgraded power supply. Not home until April though to install it all

Installed them earlier today. Not had any issues as yet but only played a couple of games of EFT.

It is probably not dead, follow me my friend
Turn of your power supply.
Reset bios.
Remove battery.
Wait 15 minutes.
Power on.
Works.

It is some kind of failure mode the card gets in when some limits are broken or some error occurs. I ran into it a few times while overclocking my 6800. IgorsLab wrote about it as well I think. For him removing power was enough iirc.
A really ****** failure mode tbh. I needed a few hours to solve it the first time with several reboots, trying the gpu in another system etc. But the above method brought it back to live every time I overdid it. (we are talking timespy top100 oc levels here with PPT mod so no default limits)
Also had that "its booting into windows without display output" thing, thats ******* strange

I am getting errors fairly regularly with my card, sometimes when Win+P changing output from 4K TV (only) back to my 1440P 144 Monitor (only). I also get Tarkov crashes with the Radeon error pop up fairly regularly too. Maybe twice a night. Also happens on Forza 4. Not sure what's going on here I'll try the new 21/01/21 drivers anyway.

Strange, with the launch drivers my 6800 reference was fan stop until 60C, but with the last 2 driver releases this is now 70C. Combined with the high idle clocks at 144hz my card is almost reaching 70C just browsing the web. Not sure I'm comfortable with those temps! Driver reinstallation time I guess, although can't imagine why it's changed!

Can you post a picture of the GPU Tuning fan section? Is it possible you changed something?
