The Radeon RX 6900/6950 XT Owners Thread.

Tested Timespy performance on 21.6.1 vs 21.6.2 after the 21.6.1 driver bought big performance gains on Timespy vs earlier drivers.

Ran the test twice on each driver, using the best result (overall score) and 21.6.2 was a few points faster in graphics score, but really nothing in it.

I would recommend revieiwng the 21.6.2 release notes and deciding if it is worth if for you to upgrade. In other words, if you intend to play Doom Eternal and use Ray Tracing.

Yep, can confirm. Another boost in performance from 21.6.1 to 21.6.2.
All tests at stock clocks etc, just fans at 75%.

And 1.2v as oppossed to 1.175v. Should get you around 50-75Mhz more core clock i guess and perhaps a little extra on the memory.

Yeah, mine does 1.2v. Memory is the same as what everyone else is getting. Funnily enough, the auto undervolt in the Radeon software drops it back to 1.175v but it still does 2.6ghz at that - so that's what I leave it set at for daily gaming usage.

Yeah I hate to say it but the auto undervolt is not very advanced, it just shaves off 0.025mv regardless of whatever the stock voltage is. :p
So really its nothing different to a Powercolor 6900xt Red Devil Ultimate as thats XTXH and has two different brackets inside the box.
Yes, don't think there is any other major difference.

It looks like the Merc has a higher boost clock and without doubt a better cooler. However the Red Devil has an extra 8 pin.

yeah I noticed that on mine.

Yeah the cooler looks nice on the Merc.

I've just discoverd that a XFX 6900 XT Speedster Merc 319 Limited Edition (XTXH) exists and is for sale in the UK. Colour me interested. :D

It may be an idea to wait and see where the above goes.

It already has better memory chips than any other big Navi card and I think it is only a matter of time before the core is upgraded to an XTXH one by AMD or one of the AIB partners.

I'm not sure I want an AIO to be honest, I quite enjoy having an air cooled card and I know the capabilities of the Merc cooler and how quiet it is.

The extra memory speed would be nice though tbf.

I thought the llc cards were for oems so you wouldn't be able to buy one anyway?

What sort of psu are you guys running ?, got my replacement red devil ultimate and still having coil whine though it is better then the first. Currently running a 850w bit fenix but curious what others have.
