The Radeon RX 6900/6950 XT Owners Thread.

No, hz numbers don't show the full picture.

Response rate of OLED pixels far far outperforms any VA/IPS panel. Running a 48" OLED with my 6800XT here too.
For me the LG OLED kill off monitors. It's 4k 120hz freesync and gsync, been a 2020 model they can be had for £900 currently too. Brian at "yes tech city" uses 2! On this daily lol.

I'd say the G sync works well!

How are you getting on with the RX 6800 XT Sarge, I heard it was returned as no fault found?

It is honestly very weird. I have gotten another AMD GPU, but it will not arrive until next week, so fingers crossed that it works. Gaming can really start without interruptions from others.

I have the 3080 running perfect in both motherboards, so it is a weird one. The 3080 is a beast at 4K, I can now Imagine the 3090 fully OCed would also be a beast at 4K. Hope AMD will deliver.

Cyberpunk2077 runs very well with G Sync on LG OLED using 3 Series cards at 4K. With the large screen I found G Sync to be so important. The DLSS is also good, because you can get to 4k 120hz with a good CPU.
Yep! It will give a nice smooth experience and pace the frames very well.

Finally got hold of the xfx RX 6900 XT Merc 319! Finally i can be a family member here with the rest of you.

So it's a beautiful card with blood from a beast but I want to know if the thermalpads on the card are any good or should I replace them. Did that with my last card and it was night and day. Can't find any info on what pads xfx is using.

Congrats! I think the stock thermal pads are fine and the paste job is decent too so i would not recommend changing anything unless you plan to get water.

Ya I'm wondering bif that's the case because it'll work at a certain undervolt . I'll game a bit run it and it won't work . I'll bring the voltage up and it'll work. Does anyone possibly have any stable 6900xt reference card overclocks and undervolts that aren't to aggressive?
I have a reference 6900XT with the following 24/7 stable settings:
2550MHz (Min) - 2650MHz (Max) Core, 2150MHz Fast Timing- Memory, Power 350W(Using MPT) + 15% Slider, Voltage 1105mv (though it does not always stick to this limit).

What framerate increase in games to you get after this overclock?
it's been a while since I have done before and after for games/Default game benchmarks and 3D Mark tests etc. The Latest Port Royal score is 11014 -11141 (depending upon whether I optimize desktop for 3d Mark run or not). I can do some benchmarks for you if you want and if I have those games.

That would be great! Like RDR2, 3dmark, Cyberpunk2077, Anthem, or any games.

Just to see the gains from the large OC

I just remember that I had done this and posted it in some other forum. Data is shown below. OC values are slightly different but close enough for you to gauge the benefits. Data is around 4 months.
