If I am getting 61 degree GPU temps and 110 degree junction temps should I return my card? I have an RMA number I am just deliberating before actually putting it in the post!

Another one bites the dust
hotspot should be in the 80s so its likely its going to be throttling being that high

whats normal hotspot

It can start off being lower but goes up to 110 pretty consistently, particularly if I have RT on. I think that’s settled though, I will avail myself of what Ash sent me next week!

I've got a 50'c difference between my gpu and junction temps too. I need to RMA directly with AMD, anyone got any idea of how long it will take as i'll be without a gpu.

Sorry buddy I have no idea how long that will take but according to Gibbo's updates OCUK were able to source a consistant supply of cards so I do not think you will have to wait too long. There appears to be plenty of stock in the supply chain.

Really glad I went with my gut and continued to avoid ref boards. Merc xtx isnt the quickest out compared to the nitro etc but the temps are nuts I can ultra 1440p on my ultra wide 160 fps apex for example sits late 40's peaking at a 56c ish max temp

I tried watching little bit of that earlier but gave up after half an hour or so as they couldn’t get the audio working properly. what happened?
Zero prep didn't help! I tried to comment in live chat to help with settings but fell on deft ears. Shouldn't get riva tuner to display, AMD on screen wouldn't display fps in cyberpunk. (told him to change window type in chat and back to get it working, fell on deaf ears)

Yeah the FPS reading metric is only supported in full screen mode. Good advice bud.

I avoid mba card after I had a 6800 mda last time, that card is hot and loud.

But the Merc fan noise is bit loud. I had the Merc before I got Aorus both have similar fan speed max out @ around 1900 rpm in bios but the Merc fan noise is louder. Even with custom fan curve to set the Aorus fan to 87% @ 2800rpm the noise is still less annoying than the xfx merc.

with the Aorus, older and non demand games like BF1 temp around 52c and hotspot 10c to 15c higher.

Newer games like FC6 and AC Valhalla temp 62c, hotspot 15c to 25c higher. If I use quiet bios temp up by 6c but max fan speed drop by 300 rpm to around 1600.
