The Radeon RX 7900 XT(X) Owners Thread.

The £ is too tweak for that. Be nice it was February 2008 when it was 2:1!

Be nice ? It should be called 7800xt it's competing with the 4080 that's because Nvidia decided to inflate the price of the 4080 and AMD being slightly cheaper and calling it the 7900xtx doesn't make it much better both are taking us for fools

Also why are CPU prices good ? Because the demand isn't as much ?

Sounds like AMD ****** up

So it's not just drivers you get to beta test for £1000, it's also the thermal solution.

Just terrible - AMD should have delayed for another month or two, fixed all the driver issues, fixed the delta temperature difference. Instead they have genuinely bad PR news that'll follow the 7900 range for the next two years, giving Nvidia further support/mindshare.

I agree, the release should have been delayed and more QC done for hotspot issues. They obviously wanted to get it out for pre xmas sales.

I will do a lot more testing with my xtx mba now, seems to have no coil whine and temp delta is ok so I am happy until I can put waterblock on it.

I just want someone to sell me their card for 500 quid now. The cooler is an ornament to me I would do 2 hours of testing and then it would be off and water blocked lol.

Just finished the video and I am relieved with his conclusion. I will be taking the vapour chamber cooler off so not a problem to me if it is faulty.

I do not think they will do a product recall for the entire MBA stock but they had better play fair with customers (and etailers) who have issues and need replacments/refunds. They certainly cannot blame user error for a faulty vapour chamber that is sealed and designed to never be opened.

Imagine nvidia had stuck the 4080 on a 102 die and charged $700 similar to last gen, AMD would have had nowhere to hide.

Hahahaha, that's a classic.

Talk about karma hitting you straight in the face.

At least the drivers will age like fine wine, even if the vapour chamber burns Ur house down.
At the end of the day I think it is likely probably a problem with the amount of fluid or something as it is not all the cards. It is a problem but nothing that can't be rectified. It depends on how they handle it. What you need to remember is if you don't have good competition from either AMD or nvidia then prices will continue to rise beyond their already stupid prices. For the cost of 1 GPU you can buy 2 PS5's which generally have less performance issues with games and that is not even factoring the extra for CPU, PSU, case, ram, motherboard. I'm not a console gamer but these things are much harder to ignore. When the prices are where they are. I don't know what AMD and nvidia are thinking with their pricing model. Honestly they are basing it on the demand they thought might exist during the mining craze.

Always purchased the Nitro series of cards from Sapphire, my 6800 XT hardly any audible coil whine and the fans rarely spin. Planning on replacing the poor thing soon with a 7900 XT Nitro, no compromises. AMD and Sapphire is like the EVGA to NVIDIA, the perfect partner.

AMD definitely have the best board partners, Sapphire, PC and now XTX are also making fantastic cards.

NV doesn't even have EVGA any more as EVGA dumped them.

:D
