Sounds like AMD ****** up
I just want someone to sell me their card for 500 quid now. The cooler is an ornament to me I would do 2 hours of testing and then it would be off and water blocked lol.I agree, the release should have been delayed and more QC done for hotspot issues. They obviously wanted to get it out for pre xmas sales.
I will do a lot more testing with my xtx mba now, seems to have no coil whine and temp delta is ok so I am happy until I can put waterblock on it.
Hahahaha, that's a classic.Sounds like AMD ****** up
Imagine nvidia had stuck the 4080 on a 102 die and charged $700 similar to last gen, AMD would have had nowhere to hide.Be nice ? It should be called 7800xt it's competing with the 4080 that's because Nvidia decided to inflate the price of the 4080 and AMD being slightly cheaper and calling it the 7900xtx doesn't make it much better both are taking us for fools
Also why are CPU prices good ? Because the demand isn't as much ?
At the end of the day I think it is likely probably a problem with the amount of fluid or something as it is not all the cards. It is a problem but nothing that can't be rectified. It depends on how they handle it. What you need to remember is if you don't have good competition from either AMD or nvidia then prices will continue to rise beyond their already stupid prices. For the cost of 1 GPU you can buy 2 PS5's which generally have less performance issues with games and that is not even factoring the extra for CPU, PSU, case, ram, motherboard. I'm not a console gamer but these things are much harder to ignore. When the prices are where they are. I don't know what AMD and nvidia are thinking with their pricing model. Honestly they are basing it on the demand they thought might exist during the mining craze.Hahahaha, that's a classic.
Talk about karma hitting you straight in the face.
At least the drivers will age like fine wine, even if the vapour chamber burns Ur house down.

Managed to get 18368 in port royal and first in the 5800x3d catagory with 7900xtx nitro plus using a 1050 under volt.
Stock was 16436. Going to try for better score. @LtMatt I'm closing in.

Nearly wet myself seeing that Best I could get is 18456 in port royal with 1050mv GPU 3100MHZ Vram 2776MHZ
Always purchased the Nitro series of cards from Sapphire, my 6800 XT hardly any audible coil whine and the fans rarely spin. Planning on replacing the poor thing soon with a 7900 XT Nitro, no compromises. AMD and Sapphire is like the EVGA to NVIDIA, the perfect partner.
