How are people finding the coil whine with them being very quiet cards?

How very dare you lol. AMD don't do coil whine. That's an Nvidia only feature.

Der8auer on 9070xt OC and undervolting. Looks like Powercolor might have screwed up and not flashed an OC BIOS on the Red Devil version.

I just plugged in my XFX 9070 XT Mercury OC... it consumes about 310W playing Cyberpunk.. I haven't tinkered much at all. but I'm impressed. I came from a 4090 (sold that to get a 5090 but eta was June)... Bought this card instead but it looks like I'm going to keep it

Joking aside - people are just posting pictures of cards with no name or specific model number.

I can't be expected to check whether it is an RX9070 or RX9070XT let alone what specific version it is! If not I will be spending hours going through earlier posts or looking on Google.

vrams and memory 92-88C
clocks 3200-3400 depends on the game

Have any of you tried undervolting/overclocking?

It seems there are two popular options these days: CoreCtrl and LACT.

I've tried neither so far with my current GPU and don't have the new card yet. Any recommendation of one over the other?

Got my haribo today which came with a 9070 XT. Of course the haribo was consumed first.

Been testing out a bunch of games but mostly played Lies of P. Previously my 2070 super was getting 120 fps and would dip all over the place. The 9070 XT resulted in a stable 144 fps and at the highest settings. It was so satisfying to play!

Unfortunately the support for Linux is a bit patchy right now as a few of my other games ran into several issues. Either they wouldn’t start or would lock up my PC. None of my flatpak apps would pick up the card so those were also ruled out. VR… also a no go.

I’m just writing it off as launch day woes and waiting to see what comes of it later on. Running the latest kernel, mesa drivers, and firmware as others have previously noted. But for now it can run the games I want to play. If I’m desperate enough I have a windows install somewhere.

What RX9070XT did you get?

Bad.

Just got the 9070XT Tachi and it's absolutely HORRENDOUS!

It doesn't even go down much with power limiting. Bright scenes with high fps it's squealing like a stuck pig.
