The Radeon RX9070XT / RX9070 Owners Thread

@will13 @harrk @Mercurial
Have any of you tried undervolting/overclocking?

It seems there are two popular options these days: CoreCtrl and LACT.

I've tried neither so far with my current GPU and don't have the new card yet. Any recommendation of one over the other?
I used LACT to allow it to boost up to 340w, but lot of the options are missing right now

Der8auer on 9070xt OC and undervolting. Looks like Powercolor might have screwed up and not flashed an OC BIOS on the Red Devil version.

I can confirm, mine has the same symptoms and increasing core clock slider does nothing.

If other Red Devil owners can confirm their findings too, that would be awesome!

One of the comments of the youtube video was from ActuallyHardcoreOverclocking and he said that the memory has error correction so keep checking the performance when upping the memory overclock (go too high and performance will be all over the place).

Bad.

Just got the 9070XT Tachi and it's absolutely HORRENDOUS!

It doesn't even go down much with power limiting. Bright scenes with high fps it's squealing like a stuck pig.
Not good. I was hoping it wouldn’t be too bad on these. Generally speaking I end of selling the card on if it’s that bad. I have a Nitro on pre order and it’s my biggest concern. I got lucky with my 3080 with hardly any. Luck of the draw …

Yay

Yeah, it's a balance of having extra cycles but if those extra cycles (or more) are all taken up by retransmits your actual performance will be lower.

This has been a thing for years, I'm not sure where Der8auer has been!

Interesting, i've not messed with the memory overclock much as i was trying to see why upping the core clock did nothing. It is next on the agenda!

Been testing the Red Devil at different games and benchmarks and no coil whine! Must have gotten lucky!

Yay
Was debating the 9070 vs 9070 XT for the Nitro card. Would be interested in your thoughts once set up.

I bought Pulse - it uses 2x8pin cables - should I use two separate psu gpu cables or can I use single cable with 8pin split plugs?

Also, do you think 600W psu would be enough or not?

Once people confirm the cards,I will need:
1.)The Brand
2.)Whether it is an RX9070 or RX9070XT
3.)Model
4.)Date Received

Powercolor
XT
Hellhound
7/3

No really sure what I'm doing with the Adrenaline software / FSR settings and all that, but got a few older games I've been wanting to play maxed out at 1440p (Deus Ex: MD / Control / KCD1 / RDR2) most of which should just run native anyway, so will learn more before then trying the likes of CP2077.

Use separate! Always use Separate!

Immediately return if it's bad, this is unacceptable. I have spent hundreds if not thousands on PC kit to make a very quiet running gaming system, I won't have it spoilt by awful buzzing whenever I game.

Sapphire recommend 750w for XT and 650w for 9700, so 600w not recommended especially if its a low quality one. And 2 use separate cables.
