The Radeon RX9070XT / RX9070 Owners Thread

So Guys, IM Rocking the 9070XT which I literally had in my machine on Release day!!! (Gigabyte Gaming OC), However.... I'm having minor issues that I'm sure will be settings or Driver related and we will no doubt get a few quick driver updates flung out. I have been running PubG @ 1440p and I'm getting frame lag/stutter in game no matter what settings I use. Also, AV1 streaming on YouTube with OBS keeps randomly disconnecting/reconnecting no matter what , never had that before. any pointer's in the error of my was would be appreciated. running a 9800X3d along with it and plenty power from the psu etc etc!!

Just did a reboot and got this message, is it a worry? Obviously been on Nvidia drivers since forever and never seen this before!

"Amd software has detected that your system is currently running with csm enabled. This is not an officially supported configuration for your GPU. We recommend you to switch to UEFI mode if possible for optimal performance"

I initially struggled to have the magnetic plate flush as my 12x6 cable had bulky plastic, but got it all in nicely and it managed to fit flush so now I'm happy with it.

I was so tempted to get one of those it was one of the cards on my list

Just turn off CSM support in bios (or rather UEFI), as most likely you don't need it anyway and never will use. These new GPUs are pure UEFI and don't need nor like the old BIOS stuff. :)

how weird, i moved pc into other room for my LFM race, thought i try an better my 27k, but some werid stuff going on, same clocks etc etc yet 2k points down tried again increasing clocks a little but same again 2k down, i even tried gpu tweak to see if was adrenaline, no different. only difference is i have wheel, pedals and speakers connected, but surely shouldnt make a difference
If not done already I would update your motherboard bios, chipset drivers and any firmware that your USB devices might need.

Same as the other question :p

Anyone here who plays Spiderman 1 or 2, How's FSR4 in it ? They are 2 of my most fave single player games but with FSR3.1 the shimmering and pixel crawling is still prevalent.
I know this was a few pages back but Daniel Owen did a load of tests with Spider Man

This is worth seeing too, another example of Optiscaler enabling FSR4 in Cyberpunk - looks really nice even on performance mode

Errr what? At full load you're at 46C? If so that's insane.

I haven't checked my load temps but my idle was like 40C and I was happy with that seeing as my 3070 idled at 50C.
Idle while on desktop looking at windows is 23c with fans on idle stop 15-24w , youtube 25-42w ish 26-28c where it has settled now

For anyone looking at using a 9070 series for streaming.. :)

As long as you don't want to use AV1. Mines has dreadful frame stuttering and drop in game and OBS keeps disconnecting/reconnecting as well, if i run h265 @ 51k on YouTube it s fine. probably a driver issue that will be fixed with an update!

havn't played spiderman yet but horizon zero dawn is beautiful with fsr4 you don't know it's even there it's such a leap

I also upgraded from a 3080 to a 9070XT Reaper - quite noticeable performance boost across all the main games I play, better than I expected to be honest.

TimeSpy comparison, for science:

3080 - https://www.3dmark.com/3dm/78451748
9070XT - https://www.3dmark.com/3dm/127760572
Also going from a 3080 to 9070xt reaper. Though PC is currently buried behind a load of stuff as we've just had new carpets.

Do I need to buy TimeSpy to check I'm getting similar results to you?
