The Radeon RX9070XT / RX9070 Owners Thread

That's crazy though given the price. What the hell is going to happen to these crazy expensive Nvidia cards that you would think won't sell now that AMD have these new cards for less than half the price??

They'll still sell because of nV mindshare, but they may need to bring down prices a bit. I doubt nV is in any rush, however, to do so sonce they're trickling out chips at present at a snail's pace (with rumored recalls).

In terms of current street price, 9070 XT is well positioned against 5070 ti, but not exceptionally so. Somewhat similar performance for ~£150 less -- exactly what AMD stated in the release announcement.

9070 is also well positioned, but really needs a £50 price drop to make it compelling against 5070.

There's far too many people who will keep to Nvidia no matter what and won't even look at an AMD GPU. Nvidia will have zero problems moving their stock.

So I am surprised at how well this card preforms, coming from a 7900xtx Asus TUF with a OC to this 9070xt Aorus Elite with a OC, the 9070xt beats the XTX on everything I've run it on and it does so being 20-30c cooler with hardly any fan noise (max fan setting 50%).

I am still probably going to return it as I don't like the looks (its not white and the Fans + light ring is a bit trippy) and it cost £750. I have a 5090 Aorus Master Ice on preorder but I dont think that card is real so who knows when *IF* it will turn up.

Only concerning thing (other than the looks) is the hotspot delta is 20-30c much like the XTX was but never seen the 9070xt card above 60c or hotspot above 85c. I guess that's why NVIDIA removed hotspot - who knows how hot them 5090/5080s hotspots are getting!

***edit - forgot another thing. it uses a Zero 0 RPM mode where the fans stop, and when they spin down it makes a clicking or some annoying noise, also when fans are not spinning the LED light ring turns off! - I turned off Zero rpm mode in software)

Here are some benchmarks on my 5800x3d/X470 platform, main score is a bit off due to CPU but if you look at the GPU score that makes more sense.

I haven't really pushed this to the limit in all honesty but thought I'd do some minor adjustments to power mainly to see what kind of performance I could get.

There's no coil whine with my card and it's quiet and runs cool compared to when I had a 4090 for obvious reasons .

Can you let us know how the fan noise is. I’ve seen some reviews where they have said it’s loud. I’m over 50 so hopefully that will help me. Thanks.

I would like to join the club. Got a 9070 Sapphire Pure (white) for £599. Good for the price - about 50% more FPS than my daughters 6800 - awaiting full FSR 4 to be implemented in more games.

My Sapphire Pulse 9070XT is getting 25003 in Timespy

Custom Tuning -120mV | 2750MHz Memory | +350MHz Clock

I cant get the memory to hit the 2800MHz sweetspot and seem to get a bit of throttling if i push it any further as end up with a slightly lower score overall.

Not bad for the entry level card!

I.kust realized my haribos are still in the box.

silicone lottery for you i guess, my reaper hits 2800mhz no issues, though im seeing these -150mv undervolts, but i cant get near it, -135mv is right on limit for me

It will be interesting what the actual voltage numbers are as these are offsets and they could be different stock voltages depending on silicon quality.

Anyone else seen GPU-z reporting down to 0Mhz at idle?

seen the usual rubbish this week

AMD .... Runs hot ( the 9070xt runs 20-30 below the 5070ti) bad drivers (Black screens on current Nvidia and blue) , Power Hungry cards (picked a random 5070ti 276w vs 320w ish on a 9070xt) ,DLSS is better than native ect ect

Full load temps on mine have never gone over 46 as well which is awesome my old Nitro+ 6700xt used to sit about 65
Errr what? At full load you're at 46C? If so that's insane.

I haven't checked my load temps but my idle was like 40C and I was happy with that seeing as my 3070 idled at 50C.

just running the amd monitor when bench marking and playing delta force it would flick betweek 40-44 with the odd moment on 45/45

room temperature was 20 ish , need to run gpuz and log the file
