The Radeon RX9070XT / RX9070 Owners Thread

Mine idles at 30c and max I've seen is 60c. Although I can bench a -170 or -150 undervolted that is not stable in games and anything above 2750 memory lower my performance. I find +500core, -75uv and 2766 (2750 after offset) fast memory is solid in games and gives almost the same benchmark scores as a larger undervolt.

Edit *50% max fan* I hate fan noise!

Can you let us know how the fan noise is. I’ve seen some reviews where they have said it’s loud. I’m over 50 so hopefully that will help me. Thanks.

hmmm I can't hear it... my CPU AIO fans are louder but when I had a 4090, the 4090 was louder than my CPU AIO fans. My intial reaction when I first started using it was: damn this thing is quiet and runs cool!

I installed my Sapphire Nitro + on Saturday. I wasn't too sure about the colour, but my Lian Li O11D XL glass panel is tinted so it looks good in there.

The hidden power cable solution is amazing. I saw some concern about bending the cable in a small space, but my cable is braided so absolutely no issues. Not having the cable coming out of the "front" of the card makes my build a lot cleaner to look at.

I've done one quick test, 3D Mark Time Spy... just over 30k. I played an hour of Cyberpunk yesterday at 2560x1440, max everything but no RT and it's smooth as silk. 130 FPS minimum, 180 maximum. Although I turned some reflection thing up to insane level and it dropped to 80.

Well impressed with this card. My Vega 64 has now been passed on to my youngest for Roblox and Fortnite duties :)

what software should I use to overclock/undervolt a Sapphire 9070? Sapphires own TRIXX software? or is there something else/better?

And would this software automatically kick in every time I start the computer? (usually I just overclock CPU's and use the BIOS)

So I've been using a 1080 ti for 7 years with a 2700x ryzen and as I recently upgraded the CPU to a 5700x3d I figured it was time to upgrade the GPU.

Been a wild ride trying to buy one of these but also try to install it this morning. I got the Pulse and I didn't measure very well because I had such a hard time getting it in there. Was difficult enough getting the old card out thanks to the closeness of the cpu fans.

I had to manhandle it a bit and was so stressed. Then on turning on I noticed no fans running and no image. I really struggled to get it seated in the PCIE properly. I finally managed it then had a driver mess as I hadn't uninstalled nvidia drivers but once they were uninstalled, everything appears to be hunky dory.

I took some fps runs of the 1080 ti and 9070 xt so you can see side by side the upgrade I am getting at 3440x1440.

1080 ti 1st then 9070 xt 2nd

Wukong 20/80
Requiem 45/120
Grid Legends 65/145
Borderlands 3 54/110

I never did any tests between 2700k and 5700x3d but am sure the CPU upgrade has helped.

Here's an image of a very old case that's been through quite a few rebuilds and some components still original (PSU and one of the hard drives). Look how snug the card is lol

Ignore the cabling and dust, I do :D

Isn't better to have PSU fan pointing downwards so air is pulled from outside, rather than PSU fan drawing air from around GPU?

I initially struggled to have the magnetic plate flush as my 12x6 cable had bulky plastic, but got it all in nicely and it managed to fit flush so now I'm happy with it.

Reaper 9070XT in situ. Touch thinner than the 6800XT it repalced and significantly lighter. Went with the Reaper due to the length restriction due to the front mounted radiator.

Applied a 50mv undervolt and sitting pretty. Will tweak a bit more over the coming days.

how weird, i moved pc into other room for my LFM race, thought i try an better my 27k, but some werid stuff going on, same clocks etc etc yet 2k points down tried again increasing clocks a little but same again 2k down, i even tried gpu tweak to see if was adrenaline, no different. only difference is i have wheel, pedals and speakers connected, but surely shouldnt make a difference
